Tamalpais High School
We are planning a massive student walkout at Tamalpais High School. We hope to spread the movement to Redwood and Drake as well. At best 600 students should storm out of school at 9:30 not to return that day. This should be preceeded by a week we have planned to fill with teach-ins and preperation workshops. We are really trying to move a lot of these kids into San Francisco to participate in the big marches and after events.
We are first time organizers who could use all the we can get. Advice, money, resources (printing presses!) or whatever. Please get in touch.

I am one person interested in setting up a protest in my area on the panhandle. I live in Santa Rosa Beach, however am willing to get together with like minded people from Panama City to Pensacola to set up a central demonstration. Please lets get together and make our voices heard with the rest of the US. Willing to demonstrate for peace, loving kindness, and truth. We cannot watch our country be used for violence, torture, injustice anymore! I do not stand for the America today. Help me voice to take back our great country and its values! Contact me soon, I have never organized anything like this, however, I have seen our misguided policies first hand in Lebanon. PS ~ if we cannot get a crowd here, lets go to Tallahassee! This is our chance, lets take it.

I have absolutely no idea how many people in my area (Leesburg FL) are willing to join me in my thinking but if I can I'll gladly get the message to all . I live in a community of over 55 residents who have been around long enough to know whats going on. Because I know nothing about my ability to get the message out, I'll just start with one step and go from there. I'm not bashful and I have a big mouth when it comes to the truth so i'm planning on a huge following. Don't know where we'll end up but at least it might make some people stop and think.

We are currently debating which location would be most effective. On Maui, the MAIN power is in the tourism business, yet our local government is located away from most of the island traffic. There is also an army recruitment center located next to Baldwin High School, which could also be a great location to appear as a group. We are meeting on Thursday to discuss our location and this posting will be updated shortly thereafter.

In the works for October 5th: performances, yoga, healing circles, marches in the streets, rallies, marching bands, and of course - a lot of widespread aloha.

4:30PM- FEDERAL PLAZA (Jackson and Dearborn)

INTO THE NIGHT: GRANT PARK (Jackson and Columbus-permit pending)

    DESCRIPTION:

All day and into the night, people will flood downtown Chicago making our determination to drive out this criminal regime known to the world! Nothing about this day will be just your "go through the motions- rally and march" protest-as-usual! Early in the day, students will walk out of school- even shut down whole campuses, people will refuse to go to work and bring their entire families, and converge with thousands in the heart of downtown at GRANT PARK. Here we begin a festival of resistance with fiery indictments of the most dangerous force in history, the Bush regime, from voices of conscience from all walks of life.

Then we will step off together and spread this movement throughout the Loop, our collective voices reverberating off the surrounding buildings and rising up to the sky! Hundreds of thousands of people downtown will be wondering what will happen that day and as our voices fill the air, they will rush to the windows and see that WE ARE WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR; WE ARE TRULY MAKING RESISTANCE IRRESISTIBLE! We'll be spreading the word to many more - distributing literature and materials that will make their way into workplaces, shopping centers, and restaurants; calling on everyone to join us after work as we make known our aim to drive out this regime throughout downtown Chicago including right at the Federal Building!

Many thousands more will join us here and will continue with us as we step off and back to Grant Park where we will continue the festival with musical and theatrical performances, and the biggest and baddest open-mic you've ever seen in your life! And all the way into the night, we'll be strategizing on where to go from here to fulfill our real aim of DRIVING OUT THE BUSH REGIME!

At the same time we will be coordinating efforts all around town to engulf the city in our movement. Banner drops, small sit ins, street theater, and media protests will be coordinated and carried out by teams of WCW activists to let the whole town know that even in the conservative heartland there is a growing voice of opposition to the fascist agenda of the Bush regime. Students will be walking out of class, adults will be walking off the job, and all around the state, demonstrations will work to make World Can't Wait a house-hold name. In the evening all the Indiana chapters will converge on the State House with us, and we won't leave until we know Indiana is ready for change.

    Boston Common, permit pending
We will assemble at the Common at noon, as high school and college walk-outs join in from around the area and people of all walks of life interrupt their routines to make a powerful statement: the Bush regime does not represent us and we will not stop until it is driven from power! Imagine one of the most critically-thinking, youthful and vibrant cities in this country coming alive all day and into the night with feet pounding pavement, signs and fists jutting skyward, and chants of: "JOIN US! JOIN US! THE WORLD CAN'T WAIT! DRIIIIIIVE OUT THE BUSH REGIME!" peircing the air, unigorable.

At 1pm, a march (route not yet determined) is being planned that will make noise, spread the word and draw people in as it goes, before returning to the Common in time for a 5pm rally.

The rally starting at 5 will enable people getting off work to attend.

The Common closes at dusk, so at that point we will be leaving and heading to streetcorners in busy parts of the city, to hold up signs, pass out flyers and be a powerful presence all throughout the night, before returning to the Common during the morning rush hour.

Keep checking the website, or email Boston@worldcantwait.org for further updates as more specific plans are developed.

In the morning, we will fan out and take WCW banners
to walkover bridges on all the freeways leading into downown Detroit.
During the day we are calling on organizations, block clubs, anybody to creativly act on their desires to Drive Out the Bush Regime! Whether it be a teach-in, street theatre, music, puppets...let's far and wide spread the word Enough! Bring This to a Halt!
We would like everybody to bring all the people who joined them at these gatherings to join us along our march route to our convergence point at the city county building.
At 12:30 pm the main march will begin gathering at Gullen Mall in the center of Wayne State University. At 1:30pm we will begin a march downtown to the City County building for our rally at 4:30pm. On the march we will pass by several points such as schools, stores, etc, where we will have built for the day, and pick more people up, thus growing in numbers.
After the rally at the City County building, we will move a few blocks north to Grand Circus Park for a "World Can't Wait, Drive Out the Bush Regime" encampment. This is the same spot where "Camp Casey Detroit" was last year. The length of our encampment is to be determined, but we will be having music, poetry, and impromptu tours of symbols of the crimes committed by the Bush regime in Detroit.

picket the morning and evening commutes
    to be determined
i want to organize a picket line on major routes into the city, if i can get at least 25 people to help, i think this could be effective in changing minds. my idea is to to make signs that can be understood individually, but create a broader theme when read in order. ie..1) no wmd, 2)no 9/11 involvement 3)no love for aqueda 4)no threat to his neigbors 5) no threat to US 6)we are less safe 7)iraq is in colapse 8)afganistan is being lost 9)$250,000,000 wasted every day 10)when you don't vote, you vote republican. we could have lines on healthcare, the budget fiasco, corruption....

What a waste of time and energy. Truly pathetic. The same smelly hippies and whackos gathering and calling Bush hitler and demanding that Israel be removed from the middle east. Ho hum. Thankfully these events accomplish only one thing - revealing the insane mindset of the American left today.

I remember the worlwide anti-war movements before the war in iraq. I found them moving, not revealing of an insane mindset. Can't see why protest is wrong.

This is a very good movement. If nothing else it's good that people can still organize and protest in the face of ridicule and bigotry.

I agree with dethroning Bush and more specifically his administration for the obvious crimes committed post 9/11. I think if the general population was aware of the PNAC documents and plans for a "better world" this administration would not have been voted in. 9/11 may still have happened, but it wouldn't have the longevity it's been given by Bush and his associates.

The best thing America could have done post 9/11 is continue with their lives. Morn, cry, hold memorials and forget about it. Continue the campaign to kill Bin Laden and go on with normal life.

What has happened is a major campaign (war) against the Middle-East, The Arab World and the Muslim religion. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, it is the fastest growing religion in history and only a small group of fanatics play a role in terrorism. The campaign to end terrorism should be fought at a level of understanding, instead of a level of violence.

I'll be working.... this might have been a half decent idea after Bush was re-elected a few years back. Now with him leaving office soon, I don't see how it will impact the current climate.

Not exactly, my opinion was based on slow careful consideration.

If you have an objective and someone else has a conflicting objective, then they are essentially and obstacle and a problem for you. Conflicting opinions are problematic.

no, your refusal to admit that this country is on the wrong course and your discrespetful dismissal of those of us who know it is and wish to change it is what makes you the problem.

You blindly support a liar, a thief, a torturer and you gleefully say that this is the America of your dreams. That is what makes you the problem.

you're basicly like a Panda who refuses to f**k to save it's own species.
