    Stone is on every single song (I think) of Shawn Smith's new bandcamp-only digital EP THE CEDARWOOD EP, if anyone's a Stone completist and wants to grab this. The EP is 6 bux or so and has 7 tracks, all of which are fabulous. Going for a more Low-ish minimalist vibe on this EP overall, even though it has a band-like feel. Go get it now. I think the site is www.shawnsmith.bandcamp.com or something like that.

    HAHAHAHAAA! I'm friends with a lot of artists who are struggling, particularly with our Irish recession, so I'm sensitive to the fact that someone with Shawn's voice and songwriting skills doesn't get the recognition or financial rewards I feel he so richly deserves. If he was charging ridiculous money for the EP I'd be less empathetic, but like 5 or 6 bux or whatever is? If folks can afford 70 bux for 3 blu-rays that fit on 1 disc...! Ha!

    Stone Gossard's head (actually a replication thereof) was the original model for the child's toy, "the Magic Eight Ball".

    (it was later changed to the familiar "Eight Ball" shape because
    Stone's head made the kids freak way out.)

    Stone Gossard actually has 20/20 eyesight, the glasses he wears are actually x-ray vision lenses, accounting for the great deal of grimacing he does while on stage.
