Oh well, I'm still trying to discuss how logic and feeling are the same thing. But I keep getting attacked. Gangbang session or some shit. I don't care, just ignorant fucks.

I've found Angelica to be quite arrogant concerning her "fullness" "wholeness" bullshit. Saying crap like "When you achieve my level, you will understand."

Why not show a direct quote from me, Ahnimus? I know why. You make up what "I say". There is no excuse to try to degrade and demean people. Using lies to justify your abuse is not reasonable. It shows typical degradation patterns. "it's HER fault I am degrading her". If you can't handle confidence and health, that's about you.

It seems you're having a problem actually 'discussing'. You can't lose your temper when others continue to disagree, well you can but it's not productive in expressing your points. It would be best to listen, take it in and then submit your rebuttal.

This statement surprises me. I don't recall angelica once "crying about stuff" on this board.

All you have to do is read the first 4 or 5 pages of this thread to see soulsinging call me stupid, angelica tell me I have no emotion and so on. Read the whole thread.

here is just one blurb from Angelica's rants

"What your behaviour shows me is that you are unable to interact on a mature, adult level. I respond accordingly. For example, due to your responses and actions since I've "met" you, I don't trust you, I don't particularly like you and I don't enjoy interacting with you most of the time. And for those who act respectful and interact on an intelligent level--and there are many out here--I look forward to hanging out with and growing in interaction with them. It is what it is."

Ahnimus, you make me think of a guy who gets a new video game, and rather than playing it, he keeps breaking it down and trying to understand the programming code, down to each individual 1 and 0. There's certainly nothing wrong with trying to understand programming, that's a fine pursuit in and of itself, but the code will tell you nothing about the experience of actually playing the game.

    Brain -> Mind

You call that crying? Those are all matter-of-fact statements explaining where angelica is coming from and why. She's not whining, she's not asking anyone to feel sorry for her, she's not even asking you to change your behavior! And she even ends on a positive note. I don't see how this can be interpreted as "crying."

I've already played the game quite a bit.

But you are right, when I got Half-Life, I beat it, mastered online play and then broke-down the source code, made a mod for it and played the game again.

You are getting differing opinions. Don't take it personally. I love the fact that you raise VERY interesting questions. I also love the fact that you take it upon yourself to investigate and read up on issues. I think this is a good way to 'bounce' off ideas. Don't take disagreement as an insult. Use it to fine tune your ideas. As you learn more, you may choose to throw out ideas you originally bought into for new better ideas.

She's clearly whining about how I express my point of view

If you can't accept someone's point of view without degrading it to "whining", then you'll understand why you look like a little boy to me. When you're capable of meeting me equally as an adult, on an even keel where you treat my view with the respect it deserves, then you might see a different kind of feedback for your actions. I continue to express myself and make observations as I see fit.

I've never heard her say anything of the sort. She has never claimed that she knows things that are beyond the reach of anyone else.

Look, I agree with a great deal of what angelica says, but not 100%. I question some of it ... the things I question may in fact be correct, they may be complete nonsense, I don't know. But I've certainly never seen her say that I or anyone else is not capable of knowing. I really have to say that you're projecting things onto her that simply aren't there.

Ahnimus, it's how you are perceiving the debate. If someone hurts your feelings, it's because you allow them to hurt your feelings. It's why I chuckled at your other response about intuition. I'll tell you who is the KING at taking on numerous people in debates here and does not get rattled at perceived personal remarks, farfromglorified. I don't usually agree with him, but I'm impressed with his tact.

I'm actually very intrigued by this discussion and would love to stay and post, but I have to go. But I'll probably be back later.

Emotions are also vital to the higher reaches of distinctively human intelligence. Contrary to some popular notions, emotions do not ‘get in the way of’ rational thinking - emotions are essential to rationality.

Damasio’s group is probably best known for their case studies of reasoning in people with neurological damage to their emotional systems. For instance, people with damage to the ventro-medial part of the pre-frontal cortex (VMPFC) may be able to perform to a high level on most language and intelligence tests, but they display gross defects of planning, judgement and social appropriateness.
