  • correct on all points. Only I would add that there were no al queda in iraq before we deposed saddam

right again. except now the taliban have regrouped in Afhganistan and are more powerful than ever.

    ooops

The only Al-Qaeda anyone said was in Iraq pre-invasion was Zarqawi -
Yes they are there now, and everytime they show their face they are gunned down and every suicide attack mean that's one less barefoot ill-intentioned deuschbag on the face of the Earth

Your comment that the Taliban are more powerful than ever is one of the silliest things I've read here in awhile.......thanks for the laugh

I rarely agree with jlew24asu on politics, but I have to agree with him that your posts are incoherent. I'm interested in your viewpoint, but I have no idea what it might be. If the British education system is as good as you say, all you need to do is put that superior education of yours to good use before you hit the "submit reply" button.

No, it is not a contradiction. I'm interested in hearing various viewpoints on the subject at hand. If I wasn't, there wouldn't be much point in visiting a politics forum, would there? Just as there isn't much point in posting on said forum if people can't decipher your message.

more powerful then ever? that is very far from the truth. do they have an office? how about an embassy somewhere? are they holding new conferences proclaiming to control the country? are they driving around the streets on kabul hanging people for not praising allah?

sure they have regrouped in some lawless areas but more powerful then ever? you cant be serious.

they briefly held some small towns in southern afgah but where quickly defeated.

perhaps we should invade every local post office...we must take the battle to them, kill them before they kill us...we must be steadfast and show resolve, because we all know, the postal employees are a danger and they hate freedom....

Come on now, you're being picky. They may not be the ruling party but the influence they have in Afghanistan cant be denied.

as long as there are extremists views like theirs, there will always be an influence. im more concerned about there ability to rule a country and give a safe haven for el queda.

Of course the influence still exists , they were afterall the ruling party for quite some time. That being said, the responses were to the genius who stated that they are more powerful than ever - which is ridiculous
