Palin didn't look as unprepared as she did with Couric BUT of course she didn't have anyone asking her questions about that the ones she was dodging...

I don't think she was ever at Biden's level to start with so I would say Biden won that debate.
i think he won too. but then again i really didn;t expect too much from palin other than a rehashing of her convention speech.

anybody watching this panel of undecided people on Fox News?

Are undecided voters the biggest idiots in the world, or what?

I thought that last week, too, when they did a similiar thing after the presidential debate.

one comeback by Biden I think was strong was in regards to Palin constant talk about them raising taxes and how it'll hurt small business, Biden made a factual statement that 95% of small business makes less than $250k and would not be effected, and I like the fairness approach he used, though he should have restated the fact that most big businesses don't pay taxes due to loopholes.

Honestly, how is someone undecided at this point? I mean I may not agree with the other side in anyway, but at least, for whatever reason, they can make their mind up.

I thought Biden did a great job in a delicate situation. He demonstrated his superior qualifications and grasp of the issues and their solutions without coming off as a bully towards Palin.

but Palin recited her talking points well!

I guess the question is, did Sarah Palin talk to undecided voters? Did she change anyone's vote?

ABC had a similar segment with undecided voters. An undecided female voters said she liked Palin simply because she talked and sounded like the average American, "like one of us was up there"...GRRRREAT, that's what that lady wants as our VP?

that was a big distinction I got in the debate, Palin stating talking points, even in counterattacks, and of course answering questions to questions not even asked, instead of answering questions asked.

When asked on what she would change on their plans for the country (due to the economic crisis) ... Palin could not answer, stating, "she's only been at this for 5 weeks"

Coupled with her agreement with Cheney on the expansion of power of the VP ... that should share the holy hell out of people ... seriously.

edit - for the record, she did way better than most expected ... and so did Biden ...

not nice to say that about our future president...
    deal with it.

If taking the debate means dodging the most questions, then you're absolutely correct. But I know you neocons aren't interested in facts or addressing real issues that matter anyway.

Thought: sounding warm and folksy and mid-western and down home and like Main Street America is all well and good but Palin still has difficulty asking the actual question that's asked of her.

Like when Iffle asked what her "achilles heal" was and she rattled off her memorized list of strong points.

She rattles off with a lot of memorized sounding lines and can't seem to repear the word "maverick" enough. But at least she sounds warm and folksy and like Main Street America while doing it.
