    Biden clearly won. Palin has not only a nervous tick, but an anxiety disorder.

    I love how people come on here and say one person "clearly" won ... it's never, ever very clear on these things. It's all personal opinion, through one's own personal filter.

    She cannot, and she still didnt realize her error after Gwen and Joe Biden said nuclear the correct way like 20 times...

    Did she answer the questions? Simple answer is, no. She kept blaming the media and the moderator. It's as if the questions did not fit into her debate prep. She managed to get through the 90 minutes but what exactly did she accomplish? She did not distinguish herself or McCain from Bush. Palin just could not do it. The woman shied away every time the opportunity presented itself.


    Fact of the matter is McCain pulled his staff out of Michigan. What state is next? Barack is leading in Florida, VA, and PA etc.

    John McCain is 72 years old and being the President is not exactly the most stresless job you can apply for what if he has a stroke or something...?? Is she going to be making the decisions? Or even worse is she going to be so clueless that we will have a whole bunch of republicans running the circus from behind the curtains????

    That's enough to give me nightmares!!!!

    She stuck to her rehearsed speeches and the minute they steered away from what she had memorized she panicked and dragged up back to energy and taxes and her great deeds in Alaska :confused:

    And she wont do any more interviews with the media? What is she afraid of?

    In my opinion, Palin did not do a particularly good job of answering the questions being asked. However, she was much more adept at just spitting back what she was supposed to. It was a little annoying that after every response she didn't flub in the first twenty minutes a smirk popped up on her face like she was impressed with herself. Smug comes to mind. Overall, I did watch this debate to see her fuck it up...and she really didn't.

    However, Biden really impressed me. I was not expecting to like him very much, but there was no denying that he was incredibly well-spoken. He wasn't condescending to Sarah Palin as many feared he would. Most importantly, he answered questions frankly and decisively. No stammering, no hesitation. He knew exactly he wanted to say in every instance. I didn't always agree with his answers, but he seemed very confident in them. His statements felt natural whereas Palin's felt forced or recited.

    That said, I still don't like either ticket all that much.

    Was a bit disappointed Gwen Iffel didn't go back at either candidate when they evaded a question ... but, wonder if she was afraid to go back at Palin the several times she totally didn't answer the questions asked based on the pre-debate book "controversy"
