    it is raining in merriam, kansas (a suburb in the kansas city metro) and i am listening to the rain pelting the patio through the screen door as my dog, the SBB, is sleeping

    i like it when my dog sleeps. she is a pest.

    he wanders around the walls of his minds, or is there walls - i'm not too sure
    his eyes are off, his mind's not there
    he reaches, with his heart - picks up a thought and swims in it
    thoughts move along, but he's so high above, dragged along.. bloody scratches from holding on, you should know
    it's like he sees, something in the dark - he stares so deeply, there must be something there
    wanting to see, seeing now
    he doesn't believe in time, oh - he just goes far beyond
    would run to a mountain and throw his heart out
    but mind won't let go
    is he so different from me or you
    does world throw emotions right through you - see what sticks
    have you learned anything, you sad being
    there are different ways, for a reason
    he falls to his knees, still looking up
    trapped by useless wonderings
