    I hung my head and didn't dare finish my sentence. Sure he was right. I knew I had to tell him, I just couldn't.

    Fighting against the tears that were probable already showing I lefted my head and I only just whispered: I am affraid Davey. Is that so hard to grasp.

    I know. I went there and he wasn'r home. A wierdo which I presume is his brother walked passed me while I was sitting on the steps. I don't know why, but I ran off. He freaked me out.

    the walk back to arlo's place was the longest of my life. i knew davey was right. i had to give arlo the chance he deserved. i couldn't do it alone despite what i thought.

    I hoped that I would get the chance to speak to him alone. That Dex would not be there. I hoped that Arlo already knew so I didn't have to tell him myself. A fight about not telling him would be easier than coming clean by telling him what had happend. As I rang the doorbell I felt my self shaking. I didn't want to do this, but I had to.

    arlo opened the door looking like you'd expect him to at such an early hour. bleary eyed and hair looking like a family of birds was nesting in it. he smiled when he saw me, though for what reason, i couldn't imagine. when he stepped towards me, i moved backwards. he sighed. and got defensive.

    'why are you here so early anna. what's going on.'

    I moved passed him and entered his house, I sat down on his couch not knowing how I should start a conversation like this. Should I just flat out say what was on my mind?
    He was still standing in the door opening looking at me waiting for an answer.
