That's not a bad list MCA. I recently had the option of listening to The Who playing Baba O'Reilly or Pearl Jam doing I've Got Id.

I was very surprised (and pleased) to hear old-school Green Day on the punk channel. :)

I just heard a promo on Lithium 24..something about "if you comprehend Yellow Ledbetter.."

Sometimes you can actually deciper the lyrics in the live versions. There's even this tripod site that contains a lot of different versions. I think the original, the first live version, and every version from 2000 are on there.

Here's a thread on this site talking about that song.

I just love YL. If they put on a CD of different versions of YL, i'd buy it. (FWIW, they should also put on a CD with the different versions of Daughter, just so we can hear the different tags and whatnot.)

I am not that into Punk but I listened to the new channel over the past day. I listened to a few Plasmatics songs and thought they were cool. I had never heard of them before Ed's shirt. LOL

No, it's cool. I couldn't believe it either! We were in the car driving home and the artist alert beeped for Pearl Jam on Outlaw Country. Maybe it was just a mistake or wires got crossed.

    Jeremy just started on Lithium!!!!

I am glad you cleared up why you were listening to Outlaw Country. [/wink]

I often hear My Morning Jacket on there ( I also have artist alert), but I think it is a remake. I try to drive all memories of this "Outlaw Country" music out of my head, as I used to manage the sales side of a outlaw country type station. One of the reasons they resort to playing music that is not really in their format is because most of their's sucks so bad. I think some of the DJs get desperate for real, quality music.

Sirius channel 24 is switching to a 90's alternative rock channel tomorrow. I think its going to be called Frequency 24. My friend got an email and it said they would be playing a lot of PJ Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc etc etc. Should be pretty cool.

i thought it was weird when i randomly heard three pj songs in one day on sirius :D

About 9:55 PM ET, we get Rearviewmirror!

Come on guys, make the thing 100% Seattle already! Nirvana, AIC, PJ, Hendrix, Temple of the Dog, etc.

    I heard that yesterday.

I didn't know so many people on here had sirius. I like lithium 24, but those promos they run are so gay "here we are now...lithium 24" or "the elderly woman behind the counter's favorite radio station" c'mon!

I've been listening to the punk channel a lot too- reminds me of when I was a kid, NOFX, Rollins, Husker Du and shit.

On Left of Center, in between songs they just said, "Great bands existed before Clap Your Hands Say Yeah".

Wow, I had no idea! I thought they invented rock and roll!

I know this is not really related to this thread but it is related to Sirius!

Last night I heard a Rammstein song (Du Haist?) followed by Dog's Eye View "Everything Falls Apart".

No doubt the first time in the history of sounds that these two songs were played back to back.

This morning I was listening to a cd on the way to work and I saw "Last" by NIN on Sirius so I turned to it.

    Then they played:

    U2 "One"
    Candlebox "Change"
    Garbage "I think I'm Paranoid"
    PJ "Corduroy"

    Not bad.

The bumps that they play between the songs are absolutly terrible. The music is GREAT on Lithium 24, but the bumps make me think that they have no idea what that style of music was really about, and it's a real turn off.

But whatever, they play the best music of any radio station I've ever heard.

I jut sent an e-mail to Sirius about how terrible (and somewhat offensive) their bumps and station IDs are. I recommend that you do the same:

    http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/Page&c=FlexContent&cid=1112908249913

It's better than just bitching about it here on the board. But, I'm glad to hear that there were a bunch of other people out there that fealt the same way.

It's an easy change for them to make, and after they hear from a couple of listeners, I'm sure they will. Sirius is very user oreinted, and great about making changes and adjustments to keep people happy.
