Like I said I hope for the best but his solo set isnt an indication he's changing it up much. hopefully this turns out like the amazing 05 tour.
It seems like you took your medicine this morning, I bet this tour has moere variation, but those shows you listes had the avocado album songs mainly repeated, they had to play that stuff, and I wanted to hear it.

I have a feeling the songs on this tour are going to be all over the place. Ed does not have the option of songs to play solo as the whole band does.

NOCODE#1, you should bounce over to backstreets.com and meet Shiny Saw Blade. another phony complaining fan.
pj and bruce do not deserve fans like you.
  • So much goes into putting a setlist together other than song order. Anyone complaining about Ed's setlists not changing much, when he has a limited palette to work with, needs to consider the flow. When you are one man playing one instrument, it is very difficult to come up with an order that doesn't get monotonous or requires constant changing of instruments. Being on stage alone is a heck of lot different than with a band with 100s of songs to choose from. My guess is Ed put in a ton of effort to get his setlist the way it is and uses the Springsteen model of wildcard slots in the list. Seems like that has been pretty successful for Mr. Springsteen. And I for one would love to see any of these shows. Multiple times.

I imagine this close to the election in the US they will play a lot of political songs, and conversations will be even more politically motivated.

06 blew and the variety was the lowest.

west coast was *awesome* in 06...the SF shows kicked ass (the whole avocado album over the course of 3 nights!) and we got dirty frank at the gorge.

i don't understand complaining about setlists, hell i'm just happy the band still tours and gives 300% on stage every time :) it's like people won't be happy until they play goat and brother backwards on kazoos or something for an encore.

I wasn't around on this board much for Ed's solo tour ... As far as I am concerned, Ed can do what he wants solo and it won't bother me. I am glad Pearl Jam still mixes it up good. End of story.

yea it used to be like that but east 06 was lame

even though you thought '06 was lame, you still probably bought tickets to multiple shows on this tour because you're just a little puppet dangling from pearl jam's guitar strings.

i can't stand shiny saw blade's posts. Why bother posting if it's only going to be negative. People hate shiny saw blade so much there are threads devoted to him. Bruce has some real freaks in his fan base. Good thing pearl jam doesn't have freaks in it's fan base. Oh wait a minute.....
