Does anyone else that that the Kings of Leon will get added to Bonnaroo since they will be touring before and after the Roo with PJ? Plus they're from the freakin state!

    I hope that I'm right! :)

Why does Roo have to be so close to the Florida dates? I was thinking about doing West Palm Beach and Tampa, FL before heading up to Bonnaroo, but I think that I might be pushing now.

I wouldn't arrive at Bonnaroo until Friday night :(

    What are you gonna do!!?

I think that I'm going to go to the West Palm Beach Show and then arrive at Bonnaroo on Thursday night. This way I get to do both and I'll be there for 3 full days of the festival. Nothing is final, but this is what I'm leaning towards.

Are you going to any of the shows other than Roo?

I would love that, but Bonnaroo tends to not book the same band twice in a row, but there have been and are exceptions including this year(Gogol Bordello) , so fingers crossed.

does anyone know what day PJ will play at Bonnaroo?
  • gleemonexgleemonex Posts: 848
Pearl Jam is definitely the headliner Saturday night. They haven't officially annouced it themselves, but the other headliners have announced their dates. Metallica is friday night and Jack Johnson is Sunday night. By default, PJ has to be Saturday. Their time slot will likely be approximately 8-midnight, but I doubt they use it all.

The Ten Club Tour Section had PJ listed as playing on Sat at Bonnaroo a couple of weeks ago, they had it listed like this for a few days and then changed it to how they have it now.

Pearl Jam will be playing Saturday night.

Metallica is playing on Friday the 13th: http://www.metallica.com/page.asp?id=13367

Jack Johnson is playing Sunday the 15th: http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour

That leaves PJ as the Saturday headliner by default. They also had the date for Roo listed as 14-Jun until the east coast tour schedule was released. Then it was changed to 12 to 15-Jun, even though they have a concert scheduled for the 12th.

Also, if PJ were to play any day but Saturday they would have shows on 3 consecutive nights, which they don't seem to do anymore.

Less than three months to go.
I know about inforoo, have gotten a ton of information from there.
But I want to ask here.

My only "major" purchase left is my canopy. All else is done!
Anyone have any suggestions? Right now my first choice is a Coleman.

For myself I've invested in a screened in tent to cover over me tent for extra squito protection.. been to TN I know for sure this is what to do!! It's a humid son of a bisquit eater out there in the summer!!! see all ya cool fellow fans out there.. I'll be the one blasting PJ all day!!!! He he that narrows that down right??Lol

They had a section of the merchandise tent that was only for the PJ poster.
If I remember right, I think they sold out by noon on that Sunday...So get there early.

The more I look at the potential of how good this Bonnaroo set could be. The more I smile (smirk type smile). Reasoning being:

    1) 3rd night they play on the tour. Enough to get the kinks out.

    2) There is going to be a lot of people there that have not seen them. Kind of like when they played Palooza. You could tell that they took the stage to make a point if you will.

    3) Longevity...at the Roo you can play as long as you want. 35 songs minimum.

Please add any other reason why you are smirking about this show...
