  • You are fucking retarded if you dont think he is better than Lil Wayne, sure Eminem hasnt made anything worth a damn since his second album but he has made two classic, original rap albums. Lil Wayne just continues to talk about money, guns, and bitches. Throwing one song on there about war (something he is most likely clueless about) does not make him some great rapper and lyricist.

    See you have no clue.

    I'll post more than one song that you will probably never hear on the radio.

    Guns, Money, and bitches? LOL.

    And the song isn't about War, man. Oh that's right, I guess you didn't even read those lyrics.

    It's about Hurricane Katrina because you know, Wayne is actually from New Orleans...so he might know about what actually happened.

    Yeah, there are a couple of singles on there. But what album doesn't. What about these:

    I've never heard of this 'Lil Walter' before this thread but after hearing some of these links on here i'm probably better off not hearing him again. We need someone like Public Enemy now more then ever and for more reasons then one.

    I stopped reading the lyrics after I saw the word "soulja". Im so sick of rap songs with these damn R&B singers in the chorus. Rap used to be more rugged, funky, and just pure quality.

    Here are a few videos for you to help remind you of better times for rap

    By the way, as much as I hate New York sports teams, they do produce the BEST rappers around.

    Lil Wayne and all the "Dirty" South rappers are garbage...that includes Outkast and T.I.

    That Dr. Dre g-funk Westcoast crap is garbage as well.

    The best rap is based in New York. All about the East coast bitches!!!

    I actually think it's the best rap album since "Hell Hath No Fury" and "Fishscale." Just one man's opinion, however.

    Hell Hath No Fury was criminally underrated. Pharrell gives his boys the best beats IMO.

    Definitely. That was right around the time he was doing those Gwen Stefani songs, then all of a sudden comes this album with all these amazing beats, you know you had to be saving them.

    Have you heard the album?

    I have, and I have to say...the album is pretty incedible.

    I know a lot of people on these board does not listen to, like, or can even tolerate rap. However, "Tha Carter III" is our generation take on Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" in terms of moving hip-hop forward after a stagnant period.

    Love it or hate it, hip-hop is a legiimate music genre presently. And this album is a bonafide classics in that it's smart, sharp, and well produced. It's an important album for music in that it's moving hip-hop forward.

    Sure there are a number of horrid rap acts, but have you listened to modern rock radio lately? It's pretty awful too.

    so lil wayne is going to revolutionize hip hop the way dr dre did?

    he created an entire sound that dominated for years... and this lil wayne guy blows

    "Raw dawg, get your arm gnawed off
    Drop the sawed off and beat you wit the piece it was sawed off of"

    That right there shows you how Eminem is the lyricist Wayne wish he could be.

    Oh and this Dre song beats anything Wayne has ever tried to produce:

    [Dr. Dre]
    Since you finishin em early, what posessed you to start him?
    We made a vow - later we'll regret til death do us part
    Lord, I thought we was made for each other
    You shouldn't connect those, made to be taken away from each other
    Now what I'm supposed to do? I'm only half the man that I was
    I'll never last, cause my better half is up there with you
    You knew what you was doin when you made us; so with all due respect
    you coulda forgave him, you didn't have to take him
    He can take the game with him, cause he defines the word
    The one who puts the G in it, who you think put me in it?
    I'm feelin like my whole world is blinded - wonderin why
    Cryin, pourin out my heart, pourin out liquor behind it
    We fought like brothers, somethin we never should do
    We coulda used time spent arguin tellin the truth
    He had talent too - I had plans on watchin him grow
    Don't know what hurts more - seein him leave, or watchin him go

    [Mary J. Blige]
    Listen listen listen.. (listen) whoahh (listen)
    Listen listen listen.. (better listen) whoahh-oahhh-oahhh
    Listen listen listen.. {*harmonizing*}
    Listen.. mmm-mmm-mmm

    [Rell] + {Mary}
    If you wanna know why.. {why I live my life}
    The way that I do.. {cause I got to get this money}
    So don't worry about me.. {cause I know my way around}
    I'm just hustlin everyday, runnin this race, makin this paper

    [Dr. Dre]
    Youse a soldier, you're probably packin heat up there
    Met up with homies from the street, and got deep up there
    If you only knew the way I felt before they ruined the crew
    I thought I learned from Eazy, now I'm goin through it with you
    We lost a thug, a son, and a father
    I spoke to your son, the other day, and told him Uncle Dre got him
    The Lord must be accidentally pulling your file
    cause I'm still paging you, 911, straight in denial
    Prayin you get it, but no man can choose the card he was dealt
    You either quit, or you gon' play it like you get it
    I done been through all emotions, from in shock, to keepin a poker face
    to straight breakin down and showin all emotions
    I'm anxious to believe in real G's don't cry
    If that's the truth, then I'm realizin I ain't no gangsta
    It's just not me, but you know I'ma always ride wit you
    I miss you, sometimes I wish I just died wit you

    [Mary J. Blige]
    Listen listen listen.. (listen) whoahh (listen)
    Listen listen listen.. whoahh-oahhh-oahhh
    Listen listen listen.. {*harmonizing*}
    Listen.. eyy-eyy-eyy-yeah-yeahh
