They are in fact not "average" at all. I'm very picky about my music.....just not closed minded.
You feel it necessary to complain about the state of current music (or Canadian music in general) and then write off any new bands as "average" without giving them a listen/chance.....its no wonder you are stuck in your musical rutIn my world everyone is a pony,
and they all eat rainbows and pooh butterflies!0 -
Time to give some honorable mentions to....
Minneapolis and Portland for having killers scenes man.0 -
How do you even have time to listen to that many bands just from one place alone? I listen to alot of music all the time and I can say that I do not have time to give that many bands a quality listen. I also listen to bands from different countries and like to listen to many records more than just once. I am starting to question whether you have even heard all of those bands.Alpine Valley 2000
Summerfest 2006

Boom The Cat wrote:I can't think of any at the moment, but Ben Watkins from Juno Reactor lives here at the moment which is good, lemme just get a list from wiki or something:
Wow, uhm Genesis P. Orridge was born here, he was the frontman for Throbbing Gristle who effectively invented industrial music.
A:(
Is this the guy from the Movie DIG! That Genesis guy, er.. I heard he's a girl now.0 -

I listen to music at least 10 hours a day....have over 11,000 songs and 900 artists on my iPod.....but you caught me - i'm just trying to impress youIn my world everyone is a pony,

and the Crystal Method (by way of LA).
...and new Grammy winner, Ne-Yo.
Thought of another.... Panic at the Disco.
I have to give the nod to MN, over WA, for producing the best overall music (although not the singular best band). Do cold and/or rainy places force people into indoor pursuits e.g. music?

Not to be rude at all, but seeing someone with oasisrule in their name saying someone else's preferred bands must be average is funny to me.
I dont have a state, but Mogwai are probably my favourite band from my home city.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -
