    tom petty is from gainesville...lynyrd skynyrd is from the jacksonville area...and matchbox twenty (or tabitha's secret) is from orlando.

    my favorite orlando band (though not nationally known, but fantastic) is band marino...one of the best live shows i've ever seen. especially if you have the chance to see them in orlando....an awesome dance party every time :)
