not this type of fan fiction ;)

I'm told it's not. But there's gotta be a way to find them. I'm working on it

  • Yeah, but this person pratically works for him. It's just creepy. I wish I could get ahold of those fanfictions. I was told they were deleted.

Yeah, I got a pretty good idea who wrote the fan fictions. And I'm sure it's not CultofSoundgarden, that nutso will actually act them out one day. Up the security!

But anyways, are you surprised, it takes a special kind of person to be that committed to a cause, and to dominate a board to that degree. She's probably plugging away on the boards, hoping to impress Chris to the day that she hears a knock on her door and......... well, you know.

Yeah, I'm speechless. You think with all this crap he's been doing lately one would be prepared for this, but no. Still shocking.

    I give up...

    OH LORD! hahahahahaha

to anyone gullible enough to think chris was reading this board and taking our constructive criticism to heart, it is now completely apparent he no longer gives a SHIT about what anyone thinks of him... its all about the benjamins

nice shot though... very handsome :p

    maybe he's broke?? ;)

It's funny reading all of this but very sad and pathetic. I don't understand what they're trying to achieve by trying to shut everyone up. I know quite a few long term fans who don't go there anymore due to the way that it's run and the pettiness (myself included). Also do they seriously believe that we would all just embrace this sound and not say ANYTHING negative? It's such a 180 turn for him. Maybe he doesn't want to appeal to the long term fans - maybe he's really feeling this shit. fine. But that board is nothing like it used to be.
You all are definitely more tenacious than me. I just don't find it worth the fight.

i dont think anybody here thinks its worth the fight... that place and the people left are beyond saving... its just fun to antagonize clarefromscotland and cultofsoundgarden cause their jonestown babble is so hilariously void of human consciousness

    While it last, folks.

Good thread! Just checked it out. What I find remarkable is that we actually "stole" a lot of U2's legal language and guidelines when we worked on another band's site. Their rules are thorough, fair and realistic. People are going to fight, to disagee and throw tantrums. Cool. Follow the guidelines with the fighting and things usually go just fine.

    WTF!?!?!?

No one bought his last solo album

If people stopped buying my music, i would take 100 grand to pose for a cellphone advertisement too

And the response to the thread there with the Vogue photo proves all you need to know about the board, it's a bunch of women who want to hump him.
So.... maybe his transformation is into Tom Jones?

Well, can't say the guy isn't becoming the embodiment of his music. Only problem is that the song is "Karaoke" and he's the butt of the joke.

"I'm gonna show you someday." Well, I guess he did. I would say he's a hypocrite but it's very clearly a different person, so I guess he can't become a hypocrite unless he goes back to his roots. He's gone.

Well well, uh, yeah, I don't think anyone can really defend him anymore. The guy is hell bent on destroying any last shred of credibility he's built over the last twenty years.

And just like clockwork, it's gone. Such a joke.

And I worded everything so perfectly even though that formating thingy is kind of crappy.

Anyhoo, at least I know that I can have perfectly good, rowdy ass conversations elsewhere like here. Hell, the other day on U2.com one guy called Bono a "fat fuck" in a thread where were we talking about him needing to hit the gym before the next tour starts.

That post and that thread are still standing. Some thought calling him a fat fuck was funny, others not so much but the thread and our right to express still stands.

I never thought the day would come that everyone on this board would agree about Cornell. It's so sad :(
  • I can't seem to access the new picture from work....it seems I am fortunate in that regard, sounds pretty fucking awful

To be honest I don't think he looks very good in the picture. He needs a haircut

I don't agree with most of the stuff I've seen on this thread lately. I really don't care if he does phone ads, chose to let Timbaland and others have a part in the writing, or who he's in touch with personally. I keep reading this thread and its getting pretty ugly at times. Its getting ugly towards Clare, which seems unfair. Calling her names is just kinda ... shitty. I don't have any special association with her either. I do think that its funny how yall have these expectations of Cornell, musically and personally. Yall seem just as star-stuck as anyone on the CC board defending him, to me. I went over there and read last night.

I'm 99% sure I won't like this album as much as anything pre-Carry On. But I don't alot of music as much as I do Cornell's catolog. I think this one still may have the potential to be better than Carry On, which is still good at times. I'm definately going to get it... and its almost September... I'm hoping I like it aleast as much as Justin Timberlake's last album, we'll see.

I didn't say anything about about Timbaland, Clare, the phone ads etc... nor have I commented about any of those things. I do think most people on this board think Cornell, musically, has gone way down hill. I could care less about the other stuff. I just think, knowing what Cornell is capable of, it's sad the quality of music he is putting out. We have those expectations b/c he has proved in the past that he can make amazing music. I have no expectations of him personally. That is ALL i meant. You make a lot of assumptions from a little one sentence post!!

i dont think he meant you... but ill go ahead and take credit for all those things cause all of them do bother me... ive said it before and ill say it again... music or any form of art for that matter should reflect life... if youre living what seems to me to be a shallow, superficial life than your work, no matter how strong will be tainted and insincere in my book... as for clare, i wouldnt go so far as to namecall since she hasnt done so on the CC board... but she really should reevaluate her importance in the life of chris and stop stomping around like shes his personal bodyguard... and the cowriters is what really irks me because from what i heard he treated tom, tim and brad pretty shitty and selfishly with audioslave and now hes just willing to share credit and royalties with any tom dick or harry... and its not just any cowriters... its people that specialize in SHIT music

i will admit some stuff may be overboard... but when you dont get any news on the damn album directly from the artist despite having half of it leaked, all you have to do is sit and stew over how bad it all seems... atleast many of us have tried keeping a sense of humor about it along the way
