And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky,a human being that was given 2 fly - Bryan you are loved R.I.P
Please play the south!!! To mock, um I mean quote Brittney Spears...."We make good tea" Seems like a good reason to tour!
I'll ride the wave where it takes me
I know I was born and I know that I'll die, the in between is mine. I Am Mine
Til the Lightning Bolt sets you free
I was having Big hopes that they'd show up at Bonnaroo unannounced with Tom Petty, but THAT didn't happen. I've only seen them once live and I just have to see them again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the south!! Charlotte would suit me great, but I'd travel to GA or somewhere else in NC if I had to.
totally off the subject...but damn I am pumped about going to cincinnati...I'll be headed up I-75 later this evening in a green jeep if anyone is looking...hahaha....If i run into the guys i'll put in a good word for us southern jammers
Please play Atlanta!! We are so anxious. They are not gonna know what to think once they play in front of us again. We will totally blow them away once they get down here.

Someone on this thread said Florida isn't the only state in the south.
Sure it is.
But think about it - we have all the liberal yanks from the north here. Not quite the Bible Belt that other southern states are.
nope--NC, too.
i lived in NC for many many years. it is radically different from "southern states"...and i've spent time in many/most of 'em...
but really--we really should be having a conversation about space more than place. most urban centers in the South are not "bible belt" mentality. it's only when you get outside of these places/spaces that you see backward mentalities...and this is true everywhere in the country.
enough about that--for everyone's sake, i hope pj plays some shows in the south!!!

"So, you must really love Led Zeppelin. That’s the oldest shirt I’ve ever seen on someone who wasn’t a bum."
"Hey, if God didn’t want me to wear it so much, he wouldn’t have made them rock so hard."
Someone suggested yesterday that we make signs, take beachballs, whatever with "Play the South" written on them to the concerts that are left. What a great idea. I think I'll take something out to the two Gorge concerts I'm going to and let them know we're STILL WAITING for them to PLAY THE SOUTH.

Raleigh's Growth is Showing Census finds city No. 1 on East Coast, No. 6 nationwide
Raleigh ranked sixth in the nation in numerical growth from July 2004 to July 2005. The city added nearly 14,000 new residents, more than any city on the East Coast, according to U.S. Census estimates released today.
The Census estimates put Raleigh's population at 341,530 as of July 1, 2005.
Raleigh's hot spots of growth, spurred by jobs and an influx of young families and retirees, cluster around massive subdivisions at the city's expanding edges. Thousands of single-family homes and townhouses have added to the population in places such as Wakefield Plantation in North Raleigh, Brier Creek near Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and developments near Rock Quarry Road in the southeast corridor.
The blistering growth is expected to continue. The recent estimates don't yet fully reflect the approximately 2,800 acres Raleigh annexed in the same period for new development. And they don't represent the nearly 2,500 units of condominiums under construction or planned for downtown, which could add 5,000 people to the city's core over the next three to four years. "We're becoming a big city," said Mitchell Silver, Raleigh's planning director.
But with big city growth come big city problems. Both Raleigh and Wake County recently raised their property taxes to cover expenses of growth and maintain their reputation for great schools and quality of life.
Cities Nationwide
Raleigh ranked 6th nationwide among incorporated places with more than 100,000 residents in numerical increase from July 1, 2004 to July 1, 2005. It ranked 13th in percentage change.
Change, 2004 to 2005
1. Phoenix, AZ - 44,456 (3.1%)
2. San Antonio, TX - 21,420 (1.7%)
3. Fort Worth, TX - 21,000 (3.5%)
4. North Las Vegas, NV - 18,095 (11.4%)
5. Gilbert, AZ - 17,173 (11%)
6. Raleigh, NC - 13,983 (4.3%)
7. Port St. Lucie, FL - 13,037 (11%)

Exactly my point. The other point is that out of the top 25 cities in the country, PJ is playing less than half of them and with multiple shows at some of them and some with multiple shows are on the bottom of the top 25.

Census finds city No. 1 on East Coast, No. 6 nationwide
Raleigh ranked sixth in the nation in numerical growth from July 2004 to July 2005. The city added nearly 14,000 new residents, more than any city on the East Coast, according to U.S. Census estimates released today.
