And it will be possible to have this thread hosted backstage at a tour stop. What a great idea.

Smitty, most importantly, is officially the "Band Barber". He is very good at it, especially with a number 4 guard.

And on occasion even Ed and Boom let him trim their locks.

That would be too incredible for words!!!

I know what you mean. My wife wants to travel to the shows just because she likes to take road trips. But she won't go to any of the concerts because she isn't a big fan. Other people I know are fans and she doesn't want to take a ticket away from them.

My wife is the same way. She is not a fan, and doesn't want to go to the show. She is up for a road trip though....We need to get together and go to the show, and our wives can go to a spa or shoppoing or whatever it is they want to do!

It is a thing you put on a pair of clippers to cut at a certain length. The lower the number the shorter it cuts.

I use a number 2 guard...not that anyone really cares.

Yeah, my wife is hoping there is an off day between Atlanta and Nashville so we can explore Nashville. We have never been there.

Nashville is a good town. There are a lot of good places to eat, and a good number of things to do. We go there about once a year for a concert and make a weekend trip out of it.

If PJ plays Nashville, I am there, but I need to hook up with some people to go to the show with, since my wife won't go with me. She would if I really wanted her to go, but she is just not in to PJ. I'd rather go to the show with fellow PJ fans.

We need to form a coallition of people with spouses who don't like PJ. We can all get tickets togther, and our spouses can go do whatever it is they want to do for fun.

There will plenty of people from here going to a Nashville show and I am sure we would meet up before the show. So if they do in fact play Nashville, we will see you there.

It is a beautiful day to be off. I had to go walking for a little while outside.

Unfortunately no news except there won't be news today. But the possible meeting of the band for some people from this thread is pretty dang cool to think about.

It is the guard that you put on the electric clippers that relate to length. #4 is the longest, and 1 the shortest. I have done my husband's hair for over 20 years - I can't get him to go to a professional. Oh, and I've used the same clippers for all these years. - must hurt like hell by now :)

I just wanted to say hello! I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area.. I have been watching your fine thread here since it began, and have only added my two cents once or twice. I also am eagerly anticipating the dates to be anounced. I always have traveled through the south to see as many shows as I can. My wife is a teacher so she will be starting up school right as it appears they will be coming down. So my fingers are crossed for weekends or cooperative dates as we travel together ..

I got some news today regarding the dvd:

Jersey posted this on Stangest Tribe Messag Board tonight:

    1520.4 in reply to 1520.3

I had a chance over the last few weeks to view a pretty good portion
of the un cut footage shot in Itlay for this DVD as well as the "rough
cut" that was to be sent back to the band for final approval. Its
shorter than I expected with a running time of approx 1 hour 30 mins.
There were no extras at the time of my last viewing but I feel like I
made plenty of good points and saw him take the pen out and make notes
several times during our discussions and viewings. I basically said
you have to add extras or outakes as the fans expect it. It was a bit
of a delicate situation as I didnt want to tell the "pro" how to do
his job. However, he knows I can look at it from a fans prespective
and not a artistic / concept one. I do feel confident that I was able
to convince him to include a sweet soundcheck and know for fact that
he's editing in an acoustic Mike and EV performance of Lukin on a
rooftop. (originally he thought it didnt fit) but NFY was already on
the set so I pointed out how lukin has preceded NFY on many a setlist.
Overall it shows you behind the scenes stuff none of the old dvds came
close to showing but having seen the raw footage they left ALOT on the
table. If you want to know more Id be happy to share via IM tonight.

As for HD the answer is no.

As for the incredible footage the raw unedited stuff is unreal and
sometimes provided a wtf moment but at the end of the day it was more
about flow and what Danny wanted and invisioned than what the fans
were expecting. I think the dvd only has 13 or so actual songs from
the italy shows. However, I was told the acoustic lukin idea and
immortality soundcheck would be worked in after i told him that those
two things (the entire soundcheck and the performance on the roof with
mike and EV were 2 of my fav moments from all the actual song
    /performance footage I saw)
