I thought that as well. Anyways, here's my list:

    Alice in Chains
    Chris Cornell/Soundgarden
    Stone Temple Pilots

IMO my morning jacket is so overrated. I have one of their albums, Z, which is music thrown together that just doesnt seem to fit. Sorry MMJ fans I had to get that off my chest. A good live band doesnt mean they are a good band overall.

From those two statements, you clearly don't know what good singing is. :D

I really cant stand Ben Harper...he flat out annoys me! Seems to have no variety in his music, voice always sounds the same....blah. I HATED the way he sung Indifference on The Garden DVD.
And U2...yeah, not feeling it. I can listen to a few of their songs, but the way so many people almost have an orgasm over them is over the top.

Arcade Fire for sure. I just don't get it. I've given them probably a dozen or more chances and I just can't at all get into them.

And I dislike all the boring bands that were mentionned in this thread. Rock should not make me yawn.
  • Post the bands that you dont give a damn about that constantly are brought up in threads.

    My Morning Jacket
Soundgarden (I like them but come on, they have been broken up for years and Chris Cornell hasnt made anything worth a damn since then)
    Death Cab For Cutie
    Wilco
    Drive By Truckers

all except MMJ... they're good :p
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
  • I thought the OP meant artists on this forum. It's a good job I re read the thread title. Phew!

Tool, Mike Patton(-FNM) and Sigur Ros for me too, but the other 4 I listen to more than Pearl Jam these days especially QOTSA.

Ooh ooh forgot The Racontuers and White Stripes both are decisively meh too me
