    I love the fact that whenever someone makes a thread like this people inevitable post a bunch of people that in the grand scheme of rock music really don't matter at all and won't be remembered for shit, past like, I don't know, next week?

    Or people post singers who, while successful in the careers, quite honestly have god awful voices.

    I will leave it to you guys to figure out exactly what "vocalists" i am talking about.

    You can't turn a subject like this into one with right answers. What constitutes a top vocalist is very much a matter of perspective. When I see threads like this, I assume they mean "favorite," not best. If we were to do top ten best vocalists, we would all but eliminate rock vocalists. There have certainly been some people listed that I would strongly disagree with, but that's just me. Whatever reaches your soul.
    It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

    @ above posts, these aren't the people i necessarily consider to be the 'best singers', so much as those whose vocal work i enjoy the most. big difference, and i should imagine that's how most people have interpreted this thread. million high fives that!

    im very sure i did mention Joey Ramone...i love that man so much,...such a character and overall presence made him a great vocalist.
