I made the donation but when I called Robin Hood I was transferred to a machine where I left a message with my name and # for them to call back. Did anyone else have to do this or did you speak to someone right away?

Just wondering if I should continue to call...

    got my tickets! wooohooooo!

i am soooo happy! what a special special show this will be!

lucy indeed - quite the sweetheart! also very overwhelmed with the response. a small fyi - she said she may stop answering her phone until around 3pm, so yshe can catch up and call all the people who left voicemails. so if ya did, she'll contact you! and indeed, while you're on the phone with her you can go online and make your donation.

and you all will know soon enough....but there is NO assisgned seat. you buy for your section, that's it. within your section, day of show, first come, first serve....yikes. i WAS hoping to work that day, but i know all you crazies! decisions, decisions.......

    anyhoooooooo......HAPPY!

btw - i spent this almost this much $$$ for tix to see the police this august. so i don't really mind doing so to see pearl jam at the beacon, and most especially b/c the bulk of the $$$ goes DIRECT to charity.

I would love to go to this, but there is no way I am paying $600 (donation or not) to sit in the third tier balcony. Its up there.

Hopefully I will find another way to get better seats without paying a fortune.

Well, I'd love to buy a ticket if anyone can spare one and pay my share of the donation of course.

Would be my final night in the U.S. for a long while, seems like a proper celebration.

It's just a two hour drive (Edit: three, split the difference), I'd try and do it on the night to line up. Yeah, I'm nuts.
Are you going alone? (if you are) would you like to buy it together?

According to what I've read, 100% of the money raised from this show will go to Robin Hood with the goal of raising 3 million. That's pretty good!

Did Lucy say it's first come first serve??? That's pretty crazy.

boston is a 4 hour drive from nyc.

also, i only bought one, lucy told me i could add more provided they don't run out, so pm me if you'd like for me to try and add another ticket.

i already made the donation and i did it in my late grandfather's name....not gonna change that.

    yes

    and yes

i think it's so worth it. yea, not the 'best' seats in the least...but it IS the beacon, and it IS for charity. and absolutely 100% proceeds to NYC people in need. total win-win imo.

that's indeed correct, PJ will NOT be earning a dollar directly from this benefit. i say directly because PJ merchandise and a POSTER will be sold at the venue which the band will profit from. matter of fact, the band's performance will be "donated" and no doubt all costs associated with the production, logistics/transportation, as well as hotel/travel costs will be tax-deductable :)

i was JUST going to post something similar. this is a robin hood thing, not a pearl jam/10c thing. it's being handled by ONE chick doing all the ticketing, etc. it's for CHARITY folks, it's not just about pearl jam and pearl jam fans. thus, no heads up from 10c.

Just thought I would change the subject to give those of us who aren't going to the Beacon something to get excited about for a few minutes :)

Not sure about the pre-parties. Definite no to Tampa because of timing. West Palm is possible but I haven't looked in to it at all (logistics, etc.)
Beer go to them. I heard they are a blast!
