  • Hey everyone,
Got my call back about noonish EST. Spoke with a Katey who took my info.
Don't want to upset anyone but she said that all that was left was the $500 tickets. I hope someone can make me wrong by getting some clarification from Lucy!!! I left a phone message about 9am yesterday morning,Thursday.
I told here I was praying that her and the staff at RobinHood have the strength to make it through this ticket sale. She appreciated my concern.

I just left a message a few days ago and decided not to go crazy and harrass about this show. I figured if i get a call I will act on it and it was meant to be.

Pearl Jam does not care what you have to pay for a ticket. If they cared so much about charity they would charge you a 50-100 dollars for a ticket and pay the rest out of their pocket. If i was Eddie that what i would do, I would play for a free and donate my money not the fans who may not have money to attend this show.

you all think that the the price of the tickets are hight cause the band is getting PAID for this show? I have NEVER seen a band do more charitable shows in my life... i doubt very highly that PJ is getting paid to do this show...
100% of the proceeds will go to the charity...

close enough... the point was more that the band is not taking a cut of the ticket price... that has to account for somethign... :-)

probably after expenses-but Id bet the band doesnt charge a dime to do the show, they will bring their own crew equip, etc and not charge a penny.

I think the dolans are involved in the rbf, and they most likely donated the theater and the catering as well.

Its all for a good cause (and a healthy tax deduction).
Truthfully, the tickets could be much more and PJ likely had a say in making some tix affordable for its fans. But it is about raising cash for the charity.

So they are each donating a day or two of their time... while a lot of the fans that are buying tickets are probably donating a week of their pay.

No one is questioning that Pearl Jam does a lot for charity... and im sure some of it is even money out of their pockets....

But eddie rambles on about how companies, and the upper class manipulate the rest of society to support their cause.... well Pearl Jam does the same thing...

And this whole "12 other shows" is bullshit. Until Pearl Jam plays venues of under 3000 seats on a whole tour, shows like this are definately not available to the regular everyday fan. They justify the expense of the tickets with the special nature of the show.... which means it is something they are making available to just those with $500 to just drop on a concert.

It looks like they made it through the list pretty quickly. My gf called last night and left a message and she just scored tix.

And YES, $250 tix are still available!

For those who have called today there's still hope. Stay by your phone : ) If you have call display and see a missed call from 212-844-3500 call them back and tell them you missed a call. They will help you.

Good luck to all those trying.

This show is going to be a little weird, b/c I'm sure there will be some non-fans that are going with 'corporate sponsorship'

Im not paying those prices and I feel bad for anyone that bought tix when they truly cannot afford it.

NO. If they were doing the same thing as a multinational corp. they wouldnt do ANYTHING without maximizing profit for themselves. And Im sure its costs them a few bucks to put on the show.

They do shows like this for the fans. Irving, the vic the borgata etc....
It does not make practical, economical or enviornmental sense for them to do an entire tour of small venues. Its really that simple.

What is important is that they play a show and raise 3 mill for a charity. Without asking for anything. THIS IS NOT FOR THE FANS. ITs an act of charity!!!!!
