    Hello All,

I have been out of the loop for sometime, but I am ready for Pearl Jam's East Coast Shows! Who You Are last night and I am sure some more rarities to come! I just wanted to let you know that I would like to volunteer my time for these two great shows!

So, Laura put me on the list baby!

Hey - anyone opposed to helping out the Station Nightclub Family Fund people? I know it's a different genre of rock music, but these people are still fighting the system with their injuries. Check out the http://www.stationfamilyfund.org website if you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Music fans helping music fans. And this could've happened to any of us...

    Thoughts????
I love to turn you on

Amen, brother! You know PJ is well aware of this tragedy. I have talked extensively to their "organization" about it when I was putting together a piece about the fire.

I lost 4 friends in that fire, including Mike Gonsalves aka Dr. Metal- who, a lot of people don't know, bands like Metallica openly say they owe their early success in New England to Dr. Metal.

Aside from him, though, 100 people just out on a random Thursday night died in the same kind of situation that you & I have probably been in countless times. Just so happens they were in a tinderbox with bad exits.

I'm all for donating to the cause, in fact if we can legitimately turn this into a Station Fund Fundraiser, I can almost guarantee that I can double the receipts.

    well that's one vote!

please mansfield folks, consider this, as don't know of any other charity that's been mentioned yet. hell i'm not even in favor of going to the piccadilly (even though i love it!) because i want to tailgate with Lou and others and I want to do martini body shots with whizbang, jojo, etc (whoa that's for another thread! ;) ) Anyway, please keep posting here if you want this to happen or please make another suggestion!!!!!

    thanks!

trust me when i tell you it is a mess trying to leave that place, and although $40 seems extraneous (sp?) right now, it is worth it. although, if laura did bag a shuttle for the piccadilly pub, that is quite convenient too!

well you amongst others convinced me it was well worth it...i think locked really drove the point home, so i bought it as soon as it became available. however, hell yes...having a shuttle to/from would've been quite nice for drinking capabilities before/after. c'est la vie.

  • Piccadilly Pub is probably 4-5 miles from the venue

It is near the intersection of route 140 and route 106

In all honesty, I'd be shocked if you got a shuttle.

If there are any jammers staying in town between shows 1 & 2 who (aren't creepers :)) would be able to offer me a place to stay and/or has plans for the day between shows...send me a PM. I've never been to Boston before and would love to see the city. I'm not renting a car though... I'm a college kid, don't mind sleeping on floors...of course willing to split a hotel room. My companions for the first show are leaving on Sunday morning and my companion/ride back to NYC after the second show isn't coming in until Monday... Let me know if you want to hang out/could help me out!

Im staying at the red roof inn is this venue far from there, sorry Im from canada and not savy with the area.

Also, what time is this expected to get over approx? Just wondering how long of a gap we would have between that and the show?

The party usually runs up until a half hour or less to doors open (which I believe is 6:30?)
    I'll be there + 1

I want to donate a poster, how does that work?

Just post here or shoot me a PM with the poster info and I'll add your donation to the raffle/auction list. The day of the fundraiser just bring the poster w/you and drop it off at the table & we can give you a tax receipt for your donation (that goes for everyone who donates it and requests one!)
