He'll be in Memphis June 21st at Hi-Tone...$10 Cover.

And it sounds like a full fledged tour is in the works too. East coast to West coast. Be a good chance to catch him while he's still playing smaller venues.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I really want to go to this Memphis show...sounds like a really small place, but the logistics of the whole thing are going to be rough.

It's on a Thursday Night...a Friday would be better...with the baby, I have to weigh things out before I can consider them.

    Damn straight.

I was a bit disapointed in only two Cooley songs on the last record, but I heard in a recent interview with Patterson that he has at least 5 demoed for the next one.

I really want to see these guys live and apparently their in Richmond, VA in June, but I won't be in VA that week. Bad luck.
I share a cigarette with negativity.

The vocal melody from Cooley is great, but yeah, Neff fills it out well. Great tone for that song.

Anyone have the scoop on getting tickets for their NYC show on 7/19? Heard it is a free show, but haven't been able to find out how to get them.

I guess I'll never grow a sideburn, it's a shame with all I've got to go between.
I hope somebody's cause takes soon, it's getting hard to find a place ? can sing
Momma said a lot of things and "Be thankful" was the one she never minded saying twice.
Thanks to her I can think clear enough to be thankful that she died before tonight.

Baby, every bone in my body's gone to jumping like they're gonna to come through my skin.
If they could get along without the rest of me, it wouldn't matter if they did.
Skeletons ain't got nowhere to stick their money, nobody makes britches that size.
And besides you're a ghost to most before they notice that you ever had a hair or a hide.

Saving everybody takes a man on a mission with a swagger that can set the world at ease.
Some believe it's God's own hand on the trigger, and the other dumping water in the street.
Talking tough is easy when it's other people's evil and you're judging what they do and don't believe.
Seems to me you'd have to have a hole in your own to point a finger at somebody else's sheet.

I don't know how much good it does a man to keep on telling him how good it is he's free.
Free to wash his ghost down the drain, free from them to tell him that there's no such thing.

Baby, every bone in my body's gone to jumping like they're gonna to come through my skin.
If they could get along without the rest of me, it wouldn't matter if they did.

The new DBT songs are silly good.

As much as I acknowledge that Patterson is the heart of the band, his songs are never my favorites - it's (was) usually Isbell and Cooley. But man, 2 Daughters and a Beautiful Wife and When the Scene Dies are really really good. Little Bonnie and Sands of iwo Jima good.

And Cooley - my god this man is a walking diety with guitars and whiskey. He looks so drunk in some of his pictures. But the man has soul... his new songs are brilliant...

Pretty fucking cool album, got to say though it'll take a few listens to get used to not hearing Patterson and Mike's vocals in the mix of tracks.
Thanks for sharing it, be buying this one when it becomes available.:)

No Toronto date? Well I'm not suprised; there must have been 10 people watching him before Son Volt came on a couple weeks ago. This still sucks

Grrr. No San Diego date either. San Francisco, LA, then off to Tuscon.

I wanted to see him in Memphis next month, but it's on a Thursday and I'm going to Memphis the weekend after.

Glad to see a Nashville show for Aug...hopefully, I can swing that one.

So I stumbled on this while looking around the net the other day, Adam's House Cat - Town Burned Down, pre DBT Hood and Cooley really enjoying it, features early versions of Lookout Mountain and Nine Bullets apparently it is unreleased.
Just drop me a pm if you're interested and I'll send you a link.:)

So you don't have to pay $50 for an ebay copy, the good folks at Nine Bullets have posted Alabama Ass whuppin' until it gets reissued.

Nice, I'll pull it down when I get home. It used to be up on iTunes, and I foolishly only grabbed 18 Wheels from it.

Anyone else going to the Chicago dates? I think I have a conflict with the street fest, but I might check him out at the Beat Kitchen on 6/22.
