After years of rumors, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced the details of their Darkness On The Edge of Town box set, which will be released on November 16. Numerous songs on the 3 CD/3 DVD package don't appear to have been heard anywhere, even on bootleg, including "Someday (We'll Be Together)," "The Brokenhearted," "Save My Love," "Ain't Good Enough For You," "It's A Shame," and "The Little Things (My Baby Does)." The set includes a remastered version of the album, two discs of rare and unreleased songs, a DVD of a 1978 Houston concert and another DVD of live cuts from 1976 through 1978 and a complete filmed performance of the album last year in Asbury Park

I want to buy the vinyls of this and I also want the DVDs. I also want to have a digital copy of the album. I feel like there should be a way to buy this without spending over two hundred dollars and getting two free tee shirts.

That made me not want to watch Glee even more. Never saw an episode and after watching that last night, I know I definitely won't watch it.

I'm cleaning out some stuff and I have an extra copy of Bruce's book "Songs"
Before putting it on eBay or Half.com I thought I'd check if any Bruce fans on here would be interested in it
It is the hardcover. The front cover is very slightly warped and has marks on it as if water was spilled on it. And there is some writing on the first 2 pages. Other than that it's in great shape. I can e-mail pictures

Twitter FarkIt Type Size A A A BRICK — Years from now, when Ed Dwyer and Jennifer Smith look at the photos in their wedding album, their glory days might take on added meaning.
The album likely will include engagement photos recently shot on the beach in Manasquan of the Brick couple, and an unexpected guest: Bruce Springsteen.
'We kept putting them (the engagement photos) off, and then with the crowds during the summer we wanted to wait. Thank goodness we did," said Smith, 26, who called Springsteen one of the best musicians in history.
The photo session occurred Sept. 20 on the Manasquan side of inlet that bears its name. Smith recognized Springsteen, who was sitting on the last bench closest to the beach.
"Ed was walking down the sidewalk, strumming his guitar," Smith said.
A friend pointed Springsteen out to him, said Dwyer, 32.
Smith added: "Bruce said to Ed, 'Play that box.' Ed's reaction was, 'No, you're Bruce Springsteen, so, here, you play.' "
"I figured if five people are hanging out and one of them is Bruce, he should have the guitar. So I passed it to him," Dwyer said.
Springsteen started playing the instrument and talked with the couple. Dwyer added the musician was "real laid-back and chill."
Springsteen could not be reached for comment.
Kella MacPhee, the photographer, and also from Brick, said she did not recognize Springsteen at first.
"He just looked like this really cool guy hanging out on a bench at sunset with friends," MacPhee said.
MacPhee said the photo shoot was an enjoyable experience.
"It must have been a combination of the beach, Bruce's bare feet and flannel shirt and his complete ease and coolness that just made it a very fun and relaxing experience for all of us," she said.
MacPhee added: "It all happened organically, nothing was forced and it was an amazing few moments."
The couple said with their love of music — and with Dwyer a musician — the names of the tables at the reception will be titles of some of their favorite love songs. Yes, one of those tables is named after a Springsteen tune: 'Secret Garden.'
"We will definitely play some Bruce, maybe some 'Glory Days' to get the party started, and without a doubt, Bruce's cover of 'Jersey Girl,' " Smith said.
And maybe, just maybe, Springsteen's 'Give The Girl A Kiss' will be played Oct. 23, when the couple is pronounced husband and wife.

For one night, DOC NYC moves into the grand Ziegfeld Theatre in midtown Manhattan to present the world premiere of an extraordinary concert film. Darkness on the Edge of Town captures a performance by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band that no one has seen. In December, 2009, the band set up at the historic Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ and performed – just for themselves and no audience – the entire 1978 album of Darkness on the Edge of Town. Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau has said this presentation “best captures the starkness of the original album.”
