dude that four hour wait was fucking insane. Concert was even more insane. I can't even put into words what I was just at. I finally got thunder road. I was so excited to get it, I double high fived a dude in his 50's. I wasn't in heaven, I was in giants stadium and yes it will always be known that to me and few other millions of people. the rain made it truly a legendary and the wait did too. Seriously just one of those concerts I was lucky to be at. I was literally feet away from both stage circles on the floor. I'm so pissed my phone died cause I woulda had good pictures. Lastly ill leave it with this, big man will always be in our hearts, but Jake really does a damn good job on the sax.

Random thoughts ( i am no writer :lolno: )
OITS Opener, always fun, so after that horrible lightning & rain delay, this was candy to my ears.
The Ties that Bind into Cynthia ( Cyn was an odd one too) ,
but both well received by the already drenched crowd.
Who'll stop The Rain was kinda expected, but the band was good .
I am a BITUSA guy, so the 1-2 punch of Cover Me into Downbound Train was really really good
( Glory Days and DITD later on, too )
Bruce told a nice story about years ealier;
he was going to a meeting in NYC
and he took the elevator all the way up to the offices of columbia records
just him and his guitar
" this song is what got me a recording contract "
then went into Hard To be A Saint In The City. Nice touch.
Into The Fire was out of left fied,
and this version was intense and welcomed by the crowd.
Some people sat, some stood.
Even after seeing/hearing this one dozens of times,
It gives my goosebumps everytime.
Because The Night into Shes The One ?
2 facemelting guitar songs back to back. Excellent !
( in particuar Nils with hi whirlwinds and circles all over the place during BTN;
Bruce had 'the tele' out and working it on Shes The One )
Meeting Across The River has been highly anticipated and Bruce delivers
in grand fashion yet again ,going right into Jungleland , just like the album,..
spectacular. This was always The Big Mans song, and his nephew Jake does the Big Man proud
I read this was the first time Jungleland has been played in NJ since Clarences passing .
Seven Nights To Rock is one helluva crowd sing along.
houselights on that place was rocking.
This one is always great crowd participation going from Monday Thru Sat-Sun .
The six or so songs off the new album were good early on,
but later in the set ( Rocky ground ) i think it lost a litte steam
I felt good to be at this show celebrating Bruces birthday,
and he reminded us often throughout the night that this was his night.
He talked about the last time he played on his birthday was before cellphones and internet.
( Or was it all of our birthdays? ) Seeing his whole family up there, including his Mom,
was just priceless. They brought a birthday cake out and even shared with the audience .
Bruce cracked jokes about '"wheres the fucking plates?"
and " we need 50 thousand fucking plates, ....."
Mom singing back up vocals on Twist & Shout was hilarious and hearttwarming,.
What a great night, I'm so glad I waited till the last night.
Despite the bad weather and time delays,
how many artists have a 2 hour rain delay, but still play for 3 and a half hours ?
Not too many besides The Boss.

Love this. The versions he did on the 81 tour that I've heard on bootlegs were awesome, but with Gary too, winner.
Never ceases to amaze me how much fun the E Street Band have on stage, especially when you consider the amount of curveballs they seem to get thrown on a nightly basis! The world will be a lesser place when they're no longer out there doing their thing.

All done with my night shifts and catching up here.... wow!
So happy you got to see that show, Bathgate -- what a wild and unique evening, with the weather delays and the wacky start time and the rapid-fire set that still went nearly 3.5 hours. Thats a great notch on the belt!
Loved the review, too -- thanks for sharing.
I'm definitely in the pit for Rochester but I think I'm gonna break down and hit the Hartford show, too... this tour is simply too awesome!
Meeting is a tune I'd love to hear live... when played it'll always precede Jungleland but very seldom does it ever get played. This particular video is amazing after the first several seconds -- what a great sightline. Thanks for sharing.

It's probably the greatest concert I've ever been to. I'm still on the concert high as I write this. I wanted if I should fall behind as the closer, but twist and shout was a cool way to close the show.

Have fun with Bruce! I did it last month. It was a journey but worth it. "Tracks" was the one that took the longest for me to get through. I may have to do it again before the Hartford show.

More birthday craziness ensued with a full band version of “In The Midnight Hour” as it now was actually the midnight hour and therefore September 23rd, Bruce’s birthday. Let it be noted that the E Street Band had not played this song live since New Years Eve in 1980.
I really hope to get my hands in this boot. I know all 3 of the NJ shws
are availabe on one sight or another

More birthday craziness ensued with a full band version of “In The Midnight Hour” as it now was actually the midnight hour and therefore September 23rd, Bruce’s birthday. Let it be noted that the E Street Band had not played this song live since New Years Eve in 1980.
I really hope to get my hands in this boot. I know all 3 of the NJ shws
