I have always enjoy Springsteen, and see him 4 times, but never really took the time to buy most of his earlier records, which I know are his best. The best part about getting on this now? At my local indie music store (bull moose) most of his albums are $5 brand new and what isn't I can get used. Scored "Greetings from Asbury Park", "The Rising", and "Live in New York City" double disc for $16 total!

After hearing "Lost in the Flood" @ Gillette back in August I realized I needed to really dive into his material more! Such a great tune!

    Beautiful song...

When I took my oldest daughter (the one in the Sunny Day video from Albany this year) to the 8/19/09 show in Hartford at the old Great Woods (think its Comcast Woods or something now) it was her first concert ever (she was 13) and we heard him play this one. Only time he's ever played it at a show I've attended. So powerful. :)

The Meadows is what I like to refer to it by. It was also known as the Dodge Music Center. But now it's the Comcast Theater.

That's awesome that you got to hear it. It's a powerful song.

So funny when they first started playing this live,
all the cops would walk out for this song.
    I also remember Bruce having
Amadou Diallo's family backstage and meet/greet them at MSG

I've seen it ive a couple of times,
including the " Live In NYC " Vid-
    great song live.
