Just scored GA floor for tomorrow night. Does anyone know if the GA floor procedure applies to tomorrow at the Rogers Centre? There's a GA section in front of the seats section on the floor.

I'm almost certain that it'll be the same pit procedure as all the Bruce shows...
-- show up before around 4pm and get a numbered wristband
-- around 4:30/5:00ish they line up everyone with a wristband sequentially in rows of 100
-- around 5:30 they'll have some stranger randomly draw a number (they put the wristband stubs in a big plastic jar)
-- folks are then allowed to enter beginning with whoever has the number drawn

For example, if they give out 1200 wristbands and they draw number 813 then whomever has wristband #813 enters first, followed sequentially by everyone after him/her, and once #1200 gets in they'll let in #1 and so on...

If you're in the first 150 or so allowed in then you'll have a spot on the rail. If it was an arena you'd have elbows on the stage! :)

I've done GA at 4 Bruce shows and the wait is always worth it.

If you don't care about being right up front then just show up at showtime and you'll have a fine view from the back of the pit.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I will do the lottery tomorrow. I just hope they don't have the pit divided into front and back sections. I have GA tix for an arena show in October, which will most likely be divided into two sections. I will definitely do the lottery for the arena show.

I don't believe stadium shows, like the one at the baseball stadium in Toronto, have a lottery. I think these are ALL pit/GA. The divided pit/GA only applies to arena shows.

They'll still have a lottery whether the pit is divided from the rest of the floor or not. The lottery determines who'll get in first. You're right that some of the layouts are different from show to show. Fenway and Gillette both just had one area for GA ticket holders whereas Giants Stadium will be divided. Safe thing to do -- even if you just want to show up late and stand in the back of the pit -- is to get a wristband ahead of time. :)

Toronto will just have a large pit so you'll be in there regardless. I said 4:00 but the truth is they'll probably give out wristbands until a few minutes before the lottery winner is drawn. Thats what they did in Albany earlier this year.

Man -- I'm psyched for you folks going tonight... hope you all have a blast! :D

Yeah, for Hartford you might just check the boards to see what time they are going to stop giving out numbers and when they are going to start the lottery. Not sure how far your class is from the show, but maybe you can get your lottery number before and then show up later for the drawing.

Waterbury to Hartford is about 30 - 45 minutes, depending on traffic. I would definitely go before class, but I'm not sure if I have to work before my class.

I'm a noob at this and confused about the numbers and the lottery.

If you can get there sometime during the wristband (the wristbands have the numbers) window (which was 1:00 - 5:00 in Albany this year) then you're golden. You can leave and don't need to be back at the arena until they put everyone in lines of 100 and hold the drawing... probably about 10-15 after the wristband deadline. :)
