OK, I've decided screw the money, the show will be worth it. I'm going to try to get a DC ticket :)

That's what I just did! Purchased a ticket for the St. Paul 2 show during the onsale on Saturday so now looks like I'm going to those in addition to KC. :fp:  I still need to find a ticket for night 1 but I'm sure that won't be a problem. I have a free flight so that'll help. I MAY have to sacrifice the PJ show in MIssoula go to but I'm willing to do it, I think.  This tour just looks like it's been too good to not do as many shows as possible :D

I tried explaining to my mom that it's a can't miss show and she doesn't care. She just doesn't get Bruce. I told her I missed out on 2009 and wasn't missing out this year. She wasn't happy about how much I spent for 2 tickets but I told her it's Bruce, you spend whatever you can for him, even it's the expensive tickets.

I know the feels, Chris. I could go on and on about my mother not letting me go to see PJ in Philly on my birthday in 2009, but I digress... Thankfully college has made concerts somewhat easier....like Made In America :D

But back to Bruce, I'm using the same logic as you two- just can't miss it. In April, I decided super last minute (as in day-of I was babysitting and asked to leave early  ) to go it alone to Verizon Center and see if I could get a ticket. Ended up getting one and it was the highlight of 2012 for me thus far. Can't even begin explain how amazing that concert was. So I just gotta do it again! Plus I know of 2 other friends who want to go!

So, again: DC TICKETS WANTED! Best case scenario is 3 tickets but I doubt someone will have 3, so I'll take what I can get :D

It's hard to get other people to understand your love for music and live performances. My wife doesn't get it at all. Neither does anyone else in my family. So far I've only traveled for PJ and Eddie and everyone thinks I'm crazy. Bruce is definitely worth it though! Maybe even more so than PJ/Eddie! :o Watching the Springsteen Live in NY DVD for the first time right now. :corn:

Don't shocked, it's true. We all love PJ and Eddie a lot, but Bruce is legendary and the best concert of all-time, even if I haven't been to one of his shows yet.

I've seen the first disc. Waiting for a free chance to watch the second disc.

Bruce never takes the stage until at least 30-40 minutes after the scheduled time. If your show time is 7:30 then I'll bet he doesn't start until -- at the earliest -- 8:10. And then he'll literally play nonstop for well over 3 hours... so no time for bathroom breaks!

Quarter to Three was another highlight of the Fenway2 show... Bruce had played for about 3 hours and 10 straight at this point and he goes and grabs a sign for the song from the pit:

Bruce went on at 8:07 and played until 1130 at Foxboro. I will say i was very disappointed in the mixing or sound quality in my end zone seats. there were a few songs where his voice was muffled throughout and the last hour i couldnt hear his guitar. Angered me because i loved the set list too...

That sucks... we had great sound in the front end. I wonder if that open end of Gillette funnels the acoustics? :(

ya i was in the front end a few years ago and it sounded so much better. I thought of blaming the acoustics but i did hear other mumblings of the same thing when leaving with the masses in unknown seating areas...

same thing happened to me the 2 times I saw him and eband at giant stadium. I was expecting the sound to be bad.

    i already ordered mine

HarperCollins is also producing a larger version of Streets of Fire in a limited edition: a 12" x 12" hardcover, signed by Meola, housed — along with a photographic print, also signed by Meola — in a foil-stamped box. Limited "collector" editions like this often sell for well into triple-digits; they're keeping this one more reasonable, at $60 (double the price of the standard hardcover).

With only 1,000 of these babies to go around, these won't be easy to find...

Just finished listening to the Wild, the Innocent, & the E Street Shuffle. Man, what an absolutely stellar album from first to last note. Fav song has the be NYC Serenade. That song is just absolutely PERFECT. Can't believe this was his second album. More like a greatest hits to me. Such a phenomenal record.
