  • I for one am friggin' happy as can be.

Seen the boys 5 times this year seeing Ed another 2 times would make 2008 my most PJ'd year ever.

Certainly can't complain. Now the hardest part will be getting tix :)

I know how you feel. I am still plotting my escape though. My husband said I don't think so..."haven't you done enough?" (Just took a road trip from Grand Rapids MI to Hartford). When he just saw I was on the boards he said "What are you doing?....telling everyone on their how much of an asshole I am?" The problem is, none of this has swayed me...I am still making plans. Not good.

  • I knew there was a reason I was still glad that I lived in Boston. Just hit 5 close by (NYC, Hartford and 2 Mansfield) and now 2 Ed solo at the Opera House...WOOOHOOO!!!
Yes friends, family and SO think I am 'crazy', 'too old' (if the band isn't, them I'm not), and I spend way too much money ('what else do I spend my money on? we have no social life, sweetie?')

For the last EV solo tour, did they mail out these 10 club tickets or do you pick them up at the door?

Man, I nearly crapped my pants when I heard about it on the radio in the car this morning. But I wasn't really listening so I didn't hear any details. I had
I can't believe it, ever since I heard about Eddie's solo disc I thought "man, wouldn't it be great if he came to Massey Hall?
And now he's gonna do 2 shows! Plus Montreal. Man 4 small shows (maybe) - how awesome will that be? I just hope I can get tix.
Ps. thankyou for making the Montreal show(s) on a weekend so I can actually make it out there!
Damn, I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl (although I'm actually a 26 year old man).

'twas my second pearl jam show. 1st one at the field house on CU campus. they started out on chairs at red rocks and jeff started out playing this cool upright bass guitar. it was terrific but i wasn't close enough! someday...

eddie solo at red rocks would be amazing. his voice bouncing off the rocks... wow!

After seeing PJ for the first time this summer and growing up on their music, my 12yr old has offered to sell one of his guitars to finance the trip. PJ has another up and coming hard core fan for him to offer one of the guitars he loves so much (either the strat or flying v, he'd never part with his LP Jr). He really loved ITW and listens to the soundtrack alot. I hope we can get 10c tix for the show we can make and I'll figure another way to fund the trip. Just wanted to share how much this means to him.

Did anyone happen to think that for the tour to be worth it- and by worth it I mean pay his travels, expenses, staff, etc, he probably will make very little money if any at all from this little tour- he has to charge more than a PJ show, as there are only about 10-15% of the seats in these theatres as would be in a stadium or amphitheatre...

    Just food for thought.

If you don't like the price, don't go, more of a chance I'll get tix.
    Keep on rockin'!

that's a good point about the smaller venues, but still...
he's always claimed to be against high ticket prices, greed, etc...
    some recent tix i purchased:
    the hold steady- $25
    ween- $30
    sigur ros-$35
    neko case- $25
    mogwai- $16

all established bands that sold out the venues they are playing
    more food for thought
