Seniority should not give you advantage in getting tickets to these shows! Just because you remembered to renew your membership, and had the money to do so, doesn't mean new fans or fans that didn't join early on, etc. don't have the right to experience PJ or Vedder live. I understand how frustrating it is to not get tickets in your hometown to see a band you've loved for years, but it happens. Supply and demand. These are intimate shows and not everyone will be able to go. Plus, senior members typically get the benefit of priority seating.
I am a HUGE PJ fan and have been for years...saw them 4 times which is impresive considering i grew up in Nova Scotia , read everything , own everything...SOOOO...Ed`s comin to my new place of residence Montreal...THE SHOW WILL ROCK IM SURE , but $75???WTF eddie...ive paid it before and GLADLY will again but shit dude..COME PLAY IN MY LIVING ROOM FOR $5 A HEAD!!!!SHIT!!!
Ok.... I know it's nothing new, but I will throw this out there. Ticketbastard is flat out fuking rediculous. 1 minute after the D.C. tickets go on sale and there are none available. Now, when you can't get the tickets, they even go so far as providing a link to a scalpper web-site. That's just fuking beautiful.

I logged onto the ticketmaster website to get tickets at exactly 11 a.m. today July 11th when the tickets were to go on sale. There were no tickets for either Chicago show. What is up with that?

Not sure if you will go the e-bay route. I was checking over there and the prices right now are not that bad. They really are not much higher than hard ticket price. Personally I think the prices will go up as the shows get closer.

Eddie Vedder will embark on a month-long solo tour beginning August 1st in Boston and ending August 22nd in Chicago with select dates in Canada (full list of tour dates below).
Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Friday, July 11, 2008 through http://www.ticketmaster.com or at Ticketmaster outlets.
The base ticket price for all shows is $75 USD plus additional venue, service and handling fees. There is a four-ticket limit for the public on sale.
A special, limited ticket pre-sale for current active members of the Ten Club will begin at 9am PDT on July 7, 2008 and run through 5pm PDT on July 9, 2008 or while supplies last. Ten Club tickets are very limited and will sell out quickly. Your cooperation is appreciated. You must be an active fan club member as of July 1, 2008 to qualify for the ticket pre-sale. Ten Club tickets may be purchased online at http://www.pearljam.com/goods with Visa or Mastercard only. There is a two-ticket limit per member for the Ten Club pre-sale. All ticket sales are final. No transfers, exchanges, or refunds.
Ten Club tickets for the Eddie Vedder solo tour will NOT be seniority based. Tickets will be held in priority locations, but seat allocation will be chosen at random.
Liam Finn will open all shows on the solo tour.

I have a problem paying over a 120$ per tickets, especially if they are located not in a good spot.
I've already bought King Crimson tickets for 45$ and STP tickets for 72$ and Chick Corea tickets at 72$, so I don't think I'll have that much money to pay for this show. the original price was acceptable although it was high enough.

Anyone have luck getting EV tix through ticketmaster after getting shutout by the presale? I was able to grab two, but not together for 8/1
I got shut out during the 10c sale but was able to buy Newark tickets off of the NJPAC website. I got a pair in the very last row of the first tier, just about dead center. I'll have a great view of the stage and the place. I'm excited about the show and very happy I was able to buy tickets on Friday. The on-line sale was stressful but thankfully I'll be attending a show.
Would like to trade an extra single, mezzanine, for EV at Boston's Opera House on Aug. 1 for similar seat for DC 1, Aug. 16.
Also hoping to buy a ticket for DC 1 so that I can take my wife to this show.
If you can help out either way, it would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, if you've never been to the Opera House in Boston, you're in for a treat. It's a restored old theater with beautiful acoustics.

Wait a minute! So I can't bring my cell into the show because it has a cheapo camera in it?! That's ridiculous. I need my phone before the show - what am I supposed to do with it? Can they really do that? I understand the whole no recording/pictures thing and I have no intentions of ignoring/breaking rules - but really - what am I going to do with lousy cell phone pics of Eddie Vedder? It's not like anyone would buy them. I find this to be such a strange policy - and would like to know what people did with their phones on leg one. This will make sharing my xtra ticket on the day-of pretty impossible.
