i will post a picture soon

Well if they used what I know them to be called which is "conservation corners" then all is good... that is the best way to mount a print when matting. If they used corners and spacers you should be able to see part of the corners under the spacers. There is no reason to use them in this case though. But from what you have said thus far it sounds ok... sorry to get you worried, I just hate to hear about bad frame jobs that people pay good money for .
UPDATE...
You might remember my worries that my framer just slapped my U2 Klausen on foamboard and framed without spacers... well, it looks like that was what happened. After I called the shop and spoke to a shop employee to clarify their process and I was assured all was good, I sent an email to their website's contact page asking the same questions. Well, the owner of the shop must get the website emails because he called me and as it turns out he framed it himself thinking it was a regular concert poster and followed the instructions which were the words 'museum mount' written next to the pre-printed portion of their order form that said 'foamboard'.
He asked me some questions about the poster, how much I paid, etc. I told him it was a limited run, that I had been to the show, and that I paid a couple hundred bucks for it and was a little irritated that my specific request seemed to be trumped by their perception that this was just a 'normal poster' and didn't have any special value.
To make a long story short, he offered me two options without me even asking. He would find another poster and re-frame it correctly, or if he couldn't find one he would refund my money. Knowing that these are pretty rare, I was fully expecting him to call back telling me he credited my account. Well you can imagine my surprise when he called me today telling me he found a replacement (signed by Klausen!) and is going to frame it correctly this time. He spent way more than I did for my original, too. So I'm pretty impressed with his commitment to customer satisfaction.
I'm stoked. I have to bring back my original, obviously, and I'm expecting to pay the difference between what I paid to get a mat, etc.
So, MasterFramer... can you post a couple recommended matting arrangements that you would do for the Klaussen Hawaii print? I have no idea what will look good with this design. Frame is a dark walnut colored wood.
The reason he did that was because you could have taken him to small claims and gotten way more than what the poster is worth. He just bit the bullet and did the right thing as far as customer service.
Now about matting there is no way I can really post anything exact but I can suggest that for the top mat pic something that matches the paper color... most likely a rag mat... then pick one or two accent colors that match the print colors. That's where I would start. Is he going to frame it for you for free as well?

I'm not sure what it's going to cost. I'm assuming that I'll pay whatever difference there is between what I originally paid and what it would have cost with a mat and the proper mounting technique. I think that's fair, especially since I'm getting the upgrade to a signed print.
Colors are tough on this one. Blue and orange just ruin it when I try to use those as matte colors. I already have the brown frame to match the brown in the word 'and' in the print. Using a matte the same color as the poster seems too bland.
Wish someone could do a mock up so I can get a better visual. Would you think trying to curve the mat on the right side to stay with the contour of the design would play well?
Does a signed print really carry that much more value?

We'll I would just get the print from the guy and send it to me and I'll frame it up for you. Trust me on the top mat... you want the eye drawn in to the print. You try and put some color all over the place and its going to compete with the print. Thats proper design but go ahead and put a blue mat on top... its just not going to look very good at all. Good Luck

I wasn't saying I wanted a blue mat, just saying that I didn't like that combo for the reasons you stated.
I'm already breaking bank on this deal already. As much as I appreciate your offer, I have to stick with this guy unfortunately. Unless you're talking pro-bono, which I'm assuming you're not. ;-)
Check out EB. Only one was sold with a sig for u$ 300. The average price for the ones without is U$ 301. But since there has only one with sig been sold i wouldn´t say it is representative.

Nice work on the SFO 2, I like the corner work (fits nicely with the theme of the print) ...
