I am still going to try and get mine here when the time has come. I am excited to see what you guys make of it! I think the Moline poster has a lot of potential for interesting ideas!
Black35, do you mean a picture or a pick? I think I have seen people including picks with their framed posters, hopefully somebody will come up with a tip. I just stick mine into the frame on the outside. Not very creative, but this way I can pick them up every now and then.
Really hoping to put in a frame though, thanks for input
I'd try to touch base with ARQ / Jose or once again, pdalowsky / Paul.
In my mind, these guys are pretty much the authorities on picks!!'96: Seattle: Key Arena

For framing guitar picks, there are little photo corner sticker things you can buy at Michael's or a.c. Moore. they stick to something and the pick can just slide into the corner. These are meant for photos when you use 4 of them, one for each corner of a photo but 1 works great for picks0

Here's how my Moline project turned out.
Triple matted with acid-free mats. Top mat, I took a John Deere toy tractor with rubber tires that I found at Toys R' Us and I ran it through some brown paint. Then I ran the tires over the top mat. After it dried, Hobby Lobby cut the openings and did the mounting. I art directed, and they did the precision work for me. I normally do a lot of my own mat cutting and framing myself and have done dozens and dozens for myself and for other people. But when it comes down to triple matting, forget it – I'll always have the experts do that.
The setlist is a the one PJ tweeted out. I took it into Photoshop to get the size right for the opening I needed, and I also selected the background so it would be pure white to work better reprinted. Yes, the button is covering up "Fuckin' Up" slightly – intentionally, so I can display this in my family room and not worry about conservative moms and grandma types and my 11-year-old goddaughter with sensitive eyes.
Frame is reclaimed barn wood style from Hobby Lobby, which obviously works well with the art. Second and third mats are in John Deere colors (also known as Packers colors, which kills me as a Bears fan!)1992: Chicago, Tinley Park

What kind of frame shop are you at where a professional would suggest taping the picture to the mat??? Why would they not just cut another opening for the photo? Pretty simple, really. What poster are you looking to frame? And what's the size of the photo you wanna do with it? Shoot me a PM if you want and I can help talk you through some ideas of what do do with secondary openings beneath or adjacent to your poster opening. Doesn't have to be super expensive.BLACK35 said:Have a question. I have a pic that I want to get framed with one of my posters and when I had it at the framers today to get some ideas. He talked about taping the pic to the matte and I said no. So he wasn't sure how to go about fastening it. I'm worried that for some reason down the road I end up taking the pic out of the frame, I'm afraid the tape may pull off some of the picture on the pic. So anyone frame a pic with a poster or something and how did the framer/you go about doing it?

By all means, borrow away! There are a lot of really exceptional frame jobs in this thread ... and a lot of really mediocre ones. I think it's important to get your art up on the walls so you can enjoy it ... but if you can do it in a way that is aesthetically rockin', even better. So if this can inspire some other killer frameups, or help raise the bar, that would be awesome.jason_94 said:FadedGlory said:Here's how my Moline project turned out.

It a guitar pic and not a photo, sorry for the confusion. They are a young couple that own the store. The guy does a lot of sports stuff. But I have an idea on how I want to do it, it was just getting the pics to stay in place. Like Elwayvedder's suggestion of the little plastic pc to hold into guitar pic in place. I'll see what I can do and if any issues I may contact you, thanks for the offerFadedGlory said:

Brought Popeye home from the frame shop tonight. I splurged a little and went with a double mat. I figured it was worth it since I almost got pneumonia waiting in line in the rain for it. This is the first time I put more than just my ticket stub in it, pretty stoked about how it turned out.0
