My wife got me this for Father's Day. Once I flatten all of my posters and get them in the case, i'll post the pictures. I am excited to finally get my posters out of the tubes. One day, I'll be able to afford to frame my posters; that'll be the day!Chicago 6/29/98 - Nashville 8/17/00 - Cleveland 4/25/03- Chicago 6/18/03

This case looks like exactly what I've been looking for, might ask the wife for this for my birthday coming up.. I need to get all mine out of the tubes finally too.
Stupid question, do you all store 1 poster to a page only in this, or use both sides and get 2 posters to a page?No time to be void or save up on life, you gotta spend it all.0 -
I use both sides. There is acid free paper in each sleeve.0

Damage Control
Once glass is broken, it is like dozens of razor blades hovering closely above the print.
OK.... first thing you want to do it not move it at all. Get large packaging tape. Clear, or even duct tape. Put it everywhere you see a crack. When you tape the broken glass, it keeps it a solid as possible. Be careful not to push an individual glass shard in too hard, because it may slip and fall inside, and cut the print and matting.
Once you have it all taped, find an old towel or two you don't mind loosing. Put it open and on the floor. Now find a large piece of cardboard the size of the glass. Put that over the towel. Put the framed print face DOWN on the cardboard. Gravity should keep the broken glass from touching the print now, and your tape will help keep it together. Bring it to your local indie frame shop and explain what happened. It's a very frequent thing that happens, especially in the Spring when people move, so it's not unusual.
...and be prepared to have some scratches on the print, even if you don't see them now.
Hope that helps! :wave:ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

I managed to get it out the frame ok. First inspection of the poster it seems undamaged. I got lucky I think!
Cheers for the advice though, much appreciated. I don't know how it happened. I'd put the poster in the frame and was then putting the back together again and then it went CRACK. My wife thinks I lent on theback too much but I felt like I hardly touched it. Will have to go get another frame tomorrow!2000: Manchester

If the frame is in good condition, you should be able to just remove the old glass and put new glass in.
Make sure to dust the inside edge of the frame where the glass rests. Glass shards are often hidden.
Normally I'd say there was a hairline crack somewhere that was the size of the head of a pin, which can grow a meter in a second, but the location of the crack, and the fact it's almost a perfect spider shape, it looks like it was impacted very hard, for it to shoot so perfectly in all directions. But if you were leaning on the back side of it, right about where it cracked, that definitely could have done it too.
Any questions, you know where to find me. Always glad to help!ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.
