Can someone PM me how to put a photo in your post? Much appreciated! :)

you;ll need an online photo storage account like photobucket....

you take the direct link from there as a webaddress (click direct link underneath your uploaded photo) and post that link between the IMG tabs here.....

click IMG in the boxes above where you type a message here and paste the link between the two IMG's.....

and post.... does that make any sense at all?

Like the Ikea shelving a lot... I remember someone else that posted heaps here once had a similar kinda thing but it was the whole wall... I think it may have been some that had a studio with just Pj stuff, built the room for the posters... I might be wrong remembering tho...

    Very nice tho :)

Nice. It worked. Framed these last winter. Bridge School is signed flanked by the two VFC Boston Klausen Phoenix posters.

Did you match the color of the frames in the two Boston posters to the print?

Very nice! Did you pick the mats out yourself? I'm a poster-framing virgin, looking to pop the cherry any day now. I'm just afraid I'll mess up and get really mad at myself

    Suziemay -

i did pick em out myself. I frame all my stuff at Michaels. I wait for a hefty discount (usually a 60% + 10%) and then bring in a bunch.

They have tons of colors to choose from....Usually takes 10-15 minutes until i find something that i like....

Then its really up to your imagination.

Ive framed about 20 posters so far and obviously they have gotten better each time. I started with a single mat on the first 5 and have since gone back and actually had them changed out because i much prefer the look of multiple mats.....

really just depends on your taste.....

I have used the "Basics - matte black 8411" wooden frame since day 1. I check the Berkshire mats first (cheapest) but a lot of times have to go for "Select" due to the better color selection.

I'm too far into this to change now, but I kind of wish I was changing up the frames and doing double matting. All my posters have been done with this frame and single mats. They usually cost about $70 to do. A bunch of my posters are on page 266 of this thread...

I am going to use American Frame on my EV LA as well but have a question as a first timer. If I don't use any mat do I need to use some sort of spacer so that the poster does not touch the glass? Michaels has done most of my framing with no mats and they just put the poster under the glass. They are in a basement so no natural light gets in.

I'm no expert but I don't see why you would use a spacer....and my posters are not under glass anyway. it's plexiglass.

I have a question for those that have used American Frame

If you use a mat, do you still order the frame to be the exact size of the print, or do you add the width of the mat onto the print and order that size frame?

"art size" is the whole key. take an exact measurement of what you WANT TO SHOW. then, if you mat, choose "no overlap." your mat opening will be the same as art size and THEY will determine everything else based on how wide you want the mat to be. clear as mud? :?
