Looked through all your posters...damn you got a lot!! Cute kitty, too!
Here's my link to my expressobeans collection that I have up over there. If anyone wants to add to my collection by checking what I am looking for, that would be such a great way to start out 2006 with some need additions to the small collection. Thanks in advance.
Yes, it is Noblesville, IN 03... kind of a bittersweet story...
I won it in an auction for the Vera Project (all ages music venue in Seattle). Mike donated it... said it had been sitting in his closet I was so excited not only that I'd won the auction... but that it was beautifully framed... (I can't imagine the $$ for triple matting!) It's HUGE... 37 x 31" !
When I finally got it home and was marvelling at the wonder of it... I made a shocking discovery on the lack of sigs... :( Check out the photos... I actually met Mike this summer at the CCFA run in Seattle. I told him about the lack of sigs... He couldn't believe it... said 'we'll have to do something about that' I expect he and Ed will pop by my apartment with a sharpie someday
The Gorge poster on the other hand... is perfect! (Matting is very cool. Black matt has a Blue edge and the ticket is set on Red) Complete with ticket stub from the show... which was one of the best/most surreal experiences I've ever had. I was fortunate enough to share the show with someone very important to me... he gave me the framed poster for Christmas

Thanks for the photos - That's such a sweet Noblesville!! :)
I was also at the Gorge - what a show - I agree with the best/most surreal - besides the House of Blues
My Hamilton '05 framed. I really like how this one turned out. I haven't seen one posted that has the same frame/matte combo as mine. What does everybody think?
Wow, that looks great. I haven't seen another like it either. But actually, I have my Hamilton poster at the framing shop right now and it is going to look very similar to yours. The outer red matte is identical on mine - trying to match the red shade on the character in the background of the poster. But the shade of yellow that you have as your inner matte is much different from mine. I will post mine when I get it back, probably in about a week.
Looks great though
Edit: mine also has a black frame
The inner matte is actually more orange, it just looks yellowish in the picture. But thanks!

Does anyone have a photo of their framed Holmdel 03 or Edmonton 05? I've been meaning to get my holmdel framed for a while and I just wanted to see what types of frames and mats others have used to get ideas.
Oww god Im new in here and I got to take a pic of the only PJ poster I have framed and get it up here. Im into getting art framed so I went all out on this poster. The framing was around $450 for just this one but it is the center piece for my living room.
not the best choice for sure......but even with the black matte it`s not perfect to me
Ron, I don't that it's fair to say that all white mattes are bad... it doesn't always have to do with matching the colours on the poster... it needs to stand out from the wall and match other items in the room... the reason i chose the white matte was to contrast with the dark colour on the wall, and to pick up the white in the paintings on the opposite wall... here'a pic so you can see...
I have 9 posters finished and they all have a white matte with a black bevel. All have the same black, 1 inch frame, too. I have them hung in a row, 6 inches apart, staggered heights, and the framing I've chosen brings them all together. Gives them something in common. With all the different colors together on the same wall....that common thing is important to keep it from looking too chaotic.

i think anything other that white would have made the hamilton poster disappear into the wall!
This picture is better! I am not saying that all white mattes are bad, I said sometimes......especially with dark color posters......I'll probably have more than 50% of mine with white mattes....
Your benaroya poster set is great! Where did you get that?

OK this cost $450 cause its a hardwood hand painted frame with a black matte, turquoise matte, and that last layer is a natural fiber filler (like a matte but twice as deep. Everything is acid free and the glass is actually a mueseum quality light resistant glass. I really like the paint on the wood on this piece as it glows tih the Native American art work on the poster itself.
This is the only Pearl Jam poster I have framed atm but intend on getting my Vancouver 05 framed or my Getz 96 framed next.
If you flip through that album on webshots youll see the framing for 2 pieces of Joe Linsner's art I have framed. They are very similar in that the frames themselves have patterns in them and I always go at least 2 mattes.

Wow, you went all out on this one. I love this poster, as I also have it framed. But, I went for the simple look. Black matting, black frame. My belief is that the poster is the art. Too much busy stuff around the poster detracts from the poster itself. (Just my 2 cents)
Do you have the album available to the public? I keep getting this:
Kodak EasyShare Gallery
