Right now I am in the Matt Chamberlain or Jack Irons camp
How’s the food at this camp and is there an opening for one more camper?

What about the drummer from the White stripes?

Granted, I don’t know anything about drumming styles and I know it’s such an out of box thought but would love to see Stewart Copeland in the choices. Totally not the same type of music that I saw with the Police but could be interesting…
I actually thought this too. Copeland would definitely inspire a different approach to the music. I like the idea. It’s kind of a similar approach to Ed coming in after Andrew Wood. It wasn’t to emulate, but more so to bring something new.

Maybe Matt is going to rejoin that janky Kiss tribute band.

I asking a serious question. Should this be it? Great great album in DM. Did a sizable tour to support it.
Certainly going out on a high note. If it’s not a drummer that elevates and quite possibly alters the songs in a good way it would be hard to watch
I think there will be a Fugazi style unannounced indefinite hiatus.

Kinda like the 6th mass extinction...is it still coming or are we now in it? Who knows 🤷‍♂️

Yah, but drumming takes it's toll.  Might not be a bad idea to try to find someone younger.

Am I the only one kind of excited for a new drummer?? Could really mix things up, shake some new life into the old formula.

Per usual I think the folks saying the band is done are personally ready to hang up their fandom. Which is fine! But some of us aren’t done, including the band.

Matt definitely went out with a banger. I still listen to DM in regular rotation. People crap on Watt’s production, but he really did unleash Matt on this record. I wish there was more to come.
Agreed 100%. I’m so grateful we got DM before he left the band.

Have read stuff about them recording in Australia when on tour in November. If a new album is in the pipeline would Matt play/have already played on it?

It may not have been the full band. It could have just been individual members laying down tracks.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.
