Its easy to see Ohana being a one off show with nothing else planned, which does make you wonder why they didnt make more of it in the announcement....
That's exactly why I feel like it is more than just the Ohana show.
I googled Pearl Rock and Rio and Pearl Jam Brazil yesterday and lots of rumors via Google and Reddit that aren't being mentioned on here. Hopefully, they are true.

If the Brazil rumors prove to be true the drummer reveal comes before Ohana. Does it happen in Brazil or is there a surprise warmup gig or 2 closer to home? 🤔

theres a distinct dejavu feeling here though, we seem to have that every year

I'm hanging my hat on just the one show - and the notion that they didnt need to sell Ohana at all which is why they didnt even try to amp it up

i understand the feeling , it seems that way every single year with south america but this time there seems to be a lot more "smoke" around it

The general sale was postponed to June 8 and the presale starts on June 2. The full lineup should be announced before the presale begins

Any idea when the announcement will be or days outside of Brazil are rumored for SA? Someone else said 5/19 for the lineup.

Thank you @100 Pacer for clearing up my question earlier! That being said, the fact that he hasn't commented one way or another on the Brazil rumors has me thinking it is very possibly true. If he has that close of inside info, Im guessing he knows and is keeping quiet. My 2 cents

My guess is Brazil will happen, However, Ohana will be the only US show this year, with a much larger EU/US tour in 2027.

I don’t know, all the headliners have been announced already except for the one on Sep 6th. Rock in Rio usually makes announcements on Tuesdays or Thursdays, but mostly Tuesdays. It could be the 19th..

A few shows to build some chemistry and play live with a new drummer before Ohana could make a lot of sense, especially so by taking the festival pay-day to cover all the inevitable crew and logistical costs.

To me, Ohana is pretty obviously an unveiling, and what better way and place to do it. Friday: Eddie and "friends", which will involve a "hey, check out this awesome drummer," ending with "by the way, they're our new drummer and we'll be officially playing as a band on Sunday".

Honestly I'm not sold myself on the Brazil rumours, I was just putting forward some logic as to why it could be in play...  but even if its being considered that means nothing until its official.

You could be totally spot on about Ohana, but also it feels very possible Ohana is a one-off with one of Eds '& friends' drumming (Chad, Dave K etc) as a way for PJ to be present at the Ohana anniversary (and sell the tickets) without finding the eventual new guy.

That’s my thought too. Key question is what after. My instinct is they’ll do a few tours in 2027 (likely Spring US and Summer Europe as they often do) to keep the touring staff and 10c busy given the 1-2 year hiatus, then go back into a new album cycle. Could be completely wrong though!

I sense this is the most likely as whispers suggest the Ohana show is a one off thing......so keep interest in the band alive and then hopefully plan a busier 2027

I am hoping that Eddie & Friends is actually Pearl Jam. Calling it now... PJ bookending Ohana this year.

what would be the point of that?
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
