This Brendan Carr seems like a really great guy. Even had a cameo in the Project 2025 manifesto, but hey,  I'm sure it will all be fine. He's a free speech warrior and wants to given Elon his 900 million dollar Star Link contract, force private companies to allow "free speech" on their sites, eliminate net neutrality (again) and remove the limits on the amount of TV and radio stations one company can own in a single market. Conservative talk radio and Trump TV for all! He may even try to go after broadcast TV like Trump wanted in his first term. Lap dog is ready to serve.
    It's a hopeless situation...

It’s not necessarily the food that is bad it’s the preservatives/dyes etc. and what they use to cook it with that is the problem with a lot of our food.

    RFK 😂😂😂

No kidding.  But then, all of the appointees the Felons has made have been chosen as people he thinks will do the worst job or are like an opposite of what they should do.  Like RFK being appointed to head up health but will lead many people into being less healthy.  It's all part of Felon's plan to destroy America.  His venom runs so deep that he is taking every opportunity to say "fuck you" to the American people.  And by voting for him and supporting him, half of America has is basically saying, "Yes, we are worthless, fuck us to death O mighty MAGA dictator".  There's some really weird ass psychology for you.
But I've been saying for quite some time that much of humanity has been on a worldwide suicide bent for some time.  We're just reaching the apex of that here in America, previously considered the greatest country in the world.

It’s wild, they are so blind because it was a democrats idea. If RFK can clean up the food served in schools and make improvements in general, backed by science and not his own opinion, that’s great news for everyone. But acting like it’s some innovative idea, give me a break.

I saw that too. Dems/black woman pushing for better food quality and healthy lifestyle = the worst form of government control and overreach ever concocted.

MAGA hero some years later pushing for the exact same thing = greatest thing ever, please bring on government intervention.

I’m all for getting rid of chemicals, artificial dyes and such. It’s the hypocrisy of it all that gets me. Also, for an administration that’s all about deregulation, what’s up with supporting an increase in government regulation? Make up your minds…

I remember when that stuff was going down with Michelle. I had joined my son for lunch at his elementary school and was blown away by the kids that would ignore their cafeteria meal but all jump up when the "ala carte" window opened. They would go buy popcorn, chips, those little barrels of sugar water, gatorade, etc. and just eat fucking junk. Our school PTA was responsible for that shit....it was one of their fundraisers.

Luckily it stopped after a year or so. So fucking stupid.

Everyone is going to be pissed when we find the quality of our lives shrinking while we line the already over-stuffed pockets of billionaires.  But only some will ever admit it (odd, that), even as their lives sink deeper into despair.  I hope at least a few more people recognize that is coming before it's too late for everyone.

And who is going to harvest the farms and get the food to your plate? Mass deportation will create a labor shortage in the food industry.  What will that do to food prices?

McDonald's McRib is coming back for 2024. Here's when and how to locate it near you

In less than two months, a beloved — by some — fast food menu item will return once again.

McDonald's McRib will hit restaurants in the "greater Ozarks area" on Wednesday, Nov. 27, a McDonald's spokesperson told the News-Leader on Wednesday.

The McRib features five key ingredients: a boneless pork patty, pickle slices, onions, a homestyle bun and McRib Sauce, which is flavored with "natural smoke flavor," "spices," onion and garlic powders, chili pepper and beet powder (which are among other ingredients), according to the McDonald's website. As for the pork patty, the McDonald's website boasts that it only features four ingredients: pork, water, dextrose (sugar that comes from corn or wheat) and rosemary extract.

Good I hope as many MAGA voters eat themselves into coronary failure! Enjoy your golden age!

The food part of MAHA wasn't looking to good in that airplane photo. RFK looks less than excited to be taking that photo; perhaps he's learning the degree to which he sold his soul to join the Dream Team.

I'm hopeful about MAHA for the possibilities of banning drug commercials and improving our food content. But the latter seems tenuous given the President's diet. I wonder if RFK's going to make it for a long time.
It’s not necessarily the food that is bad it’s the preservatives/dyes etc. and what they use to cook it with that is the problem with a lot of our food.

I’ve traveled to Europe many times and it’s a noticeable difference in how you feel after you eat.

RFKs job is to get this shit out of our food. I don’t know how anyone could disagree with that. Regardless of political party, it’s something no one has had a focus on before.
Americans eat ridiculously badly. It's for several reasons. To your first sentence, yeah, we don't ban a lot of things that are banned in European countries. It would be a quick fix but would also go against our cultural norms. European countries tend to favor the collective vs. the individual (and corporations poisoning us count as individuals). So even to address this RFK not only has to contend with American culture but his new party's aversion to regulation. (not to mention the money lining the pockets of legislators in both parties)

But it's still the food. We eat far too much calorie-dense highly processed foods that have been sapped of their nutrients. They advertise themselves as healthy (which we have to allow since the co-president is a free speech absolutist). We don't eat whole foods anymore (in general, of course; some of us do). Our restaurants serve us 2000-calorie meals.

The crap the Dream Team was eating (I question whether RFK ate it) is too big a part of America's diet.

Now, you certainly can call "personal responsibility" a part of the equation. But if that's the entire equation, then RFK or anyone, is not going to MAHA. It's going to take regulation to do the basics (like regulation carcinogenic food dyes). As for stopping Big Junk Food from lying to us (as big sugar did decades ago when they put all the blame on fat and the US government did with the grain-heavy food pyramid), that would take us no longer calling money free speech. Because as long as we do, Big Junk Food is going to continue to corrupt our officials, and yes, MAGA is corruptible.

While I think RFK is a bit of a wild card and a bit out there, I actually think he cares about the people; something I don't think in the least for most of the Dream Team. But it's an uphill battle and I'm not sure he's going to be able to navigate doing the right things with kissing the golden shoe.

MAGAs are gonna be pissed when they find out who has to foot the bill of $20,000 per deportation.
Not sure about that amount, but if it is, it is a bargain.

And who is going to harvest the farms and get the food to your plate? Mass deportation will create a labor shortage in the food industry.  What will that do to food prices?

No kidding.  Shooting oneself in the foot and hating the people who put food on your plate.  Like I said, psychologists are going to have a field day with this shit.
Its not that hard. Its just low information people who get fed this propaganda. History is filled with movements of ignorance in the guise of governance and better well being.

This is one of those times, for sure.
