I keep hearing people comparing J6 to the george floyd riots. Seriously, one you had all of them of one political persuasion, the other there was no way to tell. I mean, democrats don't typically wear flaming red moron beacons on their heads. Are you trying to tell me that NO republicans/R voters cared about the death of an unarmed black man at the hands of a cop? so if that's what you're saying, what does that reveal about those voters?

That's a good example of how some people with confused agendas will often grab at straws to make a point that is not fully formed.  They are often the same people that make decisions that they think are in their best interest yet are really the opposite.  Thus, 47.
Do you think people who voted against 10-15 million illegal immigrants entering the country under Biden/Harris are ever going to regret that? C’mon.

You think people voting against DEI, woke, Transgendered weirdo stuff are going to regret that too?

Maybe one day you’ll realize that people vote on policy and issues, not good vibes and feelings.
Maybe quit referencing anything to do with numbers or percentage because you're lying out your ass every time. It's ok to be upset about the real number of illegal immigrants without ballooning the number 2 - 3x as much. People will be more likely to take you seriously if you didn't use right wing talking points Mr. Independent.
It’s not right wing. It’s common sense middle. That’s why an overwhelming majority voted for it. All races all genders. The House, Senate. President. It’s hard to admit your views are wrong and not aligned with society norms now. I get it. But there’s still time to abandon radical ideas that aren’t acceptable any longer.

Well at least that one could be used in terms of the EC.  So you agree that Biden won a landslide in 2020, right?

Kamala won every state that pretty much every expert and most of us here thought she would. She won
none of the battleground states and somehow got 10 million less votes than Biden did in 2020. Trump got about the same number as he did in 2020.

I still have trouble understanding that. You replaced Biden who Clooney, Pelosi and Obama said couldn’t win, with Kamala and she gets 10 million less votes to a guy who is supposed to be a threat to democracy? All while spending over a billion dollars and going in debt in 3 months?

Was it too big to rig this time?

Um no.  Many states, including mine, automatically sent vote by mail ballots because we were in the pandemic.  That reduced any level of friction to voting, it was easy.

Are you saying that Trump earned no extra voters this time around?  Only the same people who voted for him last time, did this time?

I’m sure he did as the numbers show. But 10 million is a huge disparity net loss to Kamala vs Biden. I don’t think anyone could have predicted that. Was she just that unpopular or unqualified? Did people see how fake she was and just decided to opt out? Where are those 10 million? She would have won by a landslide.

How the hell do I know?  I'm not an exit pollster nor do I plan on doing the research.  I'm not calling this election rigged, nor am I calling the last one rigged.  She was either a bad candidate, ran a bad campaign, or Trump ran a good one.

Dept of Ed won’t get eliminated because it’ll require 60 votes in the Senate. Maybe they’ll be some budget cuts so some kids with disabilities lose services and low income students get less Pell Grant money. So…yay?

It is always a good day when you can take resources from those who need it the most. Don’t worry though, the saved money will go to pay for a parade for Commander Bonespurs so he can feel like a real hero.

You can actually tie Stephen Miller to white nationalist thought which makes him one of the most pernicious members of Trump's inner circle. This is a lesson in crying wolf. When you're running around calling everyone to the right of AOC a racist or Nazi, it obscures the actual wolves.

Stephen Miller is a racist xenophobic piece of shit.
So is anyone and everyone who supports this returning regime.

Annnnnndddd THAT is why we lost. I know a lot of people who voted for Trump, none of them are racist/xenophobic/misogynistic.  And I know a lot of people who voted Harris. None of us were very excited about it.  Dems had best get past the everybody who doesn't vote for us is sexist/racist, etc. That shows the lack of intellect and awareness that Dems and their base have. And people got sick of the accusation. Enjoy continuing to lose elections if that is the only message you have.  It worked for decades.  It's over now.
We lost because those people are ignorant. It certainly wasn't by calling Stephen Miller a racist.
"Those people are ignorant."  No, those people are intelligent and don't live in an echo chamber of propaganda and sensationalism.  They can actually live in real life and see it for what it is.  Stick to that belief system though my peeps.  It's worked out quite well, huh?

Get a dictionary man.. you're embarrassing yourself by your misuse of words and phrases.
    Sorry……Landslide victory

She was either a bad candidate, ran a bad campaign, or Trump ran a good one.

or 100 days or so isnt enough to mount a campaign.

With the DoD, FDA, & DoJ employees all threatening to quit b/c of the Hegseth, Kennedy & Gaetz appointments, and the impending shutdown of the DoEd.  The DOGE’s job got a lot easier.  Change is needed and change is coming.  The people voted for this.
Dept of Ed won’t get eliminated because it’ll require 60 votes in the Senate. Maybe they’ll be some budget cuts so some kids with disabilities lose services and low income students get less Pell Grant money. So…yay?

Trolling doesn’t really work with me. I replied to a comment about dismantling the Dept of Ed, which republicans have been talking about doing two years after it was put in place. Trump wanted that the first go around. That won’t happen, but with all the excitement about budget cuts, I’m sure republicans will try that route for some fodder for the base and so they can act like they’re doing something that they think is helpful.

Thune is a rino, which means he is beholden to the DC establishment and uniparty.  So don’t worry, he want erase the filibuster.  Trump can still radically change the dept though and essentially neuter it and give back control to the individual States, and I’m good with that outcome as well.

@teske@teskeinc you know he is going to end up with 49.9% of the vote? If that's a landslide, that's one strange landslide.

Only the protectors of Democracy would kill the filibuster and pack the Supreme Court. Fortunately they can’t for at least 4 more years. Hopefully longer.
