Amazing that Biden was so inept that he didn’t fire here. Then sends a condolence letter “thanking her” for her service. Cheatle was responsible for a former President/current candidate being shot. Another citizen losing their life and 2 wounded. Plus a unanimous bi-partisan Congress in agreement she should resign. What does it take for Biden to fire someone?

It is. But she had almost no answers to basic questions yesterday.
Had given any documents the committee had requested. Her lame excuses like the sloped roof. She should have been fired for the shooting and again for her handling of it afterwards.

he is probably waiting for the facts before acting. you know, like a mature, measured, non impulsive adult would do.

trump would have brought in the set for the apprentice, sat her at the table and fired her on national tv. would the spectacle of that be better?

If he had been sentenced like he was supposed too he would have been in jail instead of at his rally or at least home confinement! Just sayin

Well since she resigned I guess that means the secret service is all fixed now.

Firing and cancel culture is the simpletons answer for difficult issues.

Im not saying that perhaps she needed to go. I personally think that the SS should have had a fairly full investigation/report on the matter complete or mostly so long ago. But always looking to assign blame without really fixing the issue is just dumb. And you wonder why people aren’t forthcoming in investigations, etc? This is why. It’s not an effective way to run an incident investigation at all. And it shows

Agreed...it's a cultural problems and removing the "bad eggs" does not fix a culture. It just makes people complacent for a while. Sometimes the bad eggs need to be removed but while it's easy, it's not a fix.

So I mentioned this before. Perhaps she didn't want that info to get out so it isn't duplicated in the future?

She really wasn't the best person for the job as she clearly couldn't answer the questions given to her.

They will fix the issue for sure.  She isn't going to be the one doing it though.  It's a bad look on the SS and the next person, hopefully they are qualified and not just checking boxes, will have some restoring of the country's faith in them to protect our leaders.
