Others think things aren’t going well, but they are factually wrong. They seem to care more about feelings than facts.
Oh c'mon, this election has been nothing but the facts!

By pretty much any metric, things are significantly better today.

The one thing they will point to is that things cost so much more than before the pandemic....which is true across the world due to inflation issues as a result of the pandemic.....however one country has managed inflation way better than the rest of the world and that would be THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I'm there with you.  The 4 years Trump occupied the oval office really fucked this country.  Hence SCOTUS allowing the voter purge in Virginia.  It shouldn't be like this in order to cast your vote.  Drop boxes being set on fire in Washington, because there are so many people brainwashed to believe the election process in this country is crap.
Is there anyone here who isn't expecting violence next week?

This is new in the last 8 years.... I don't ever recall expecting violence around elections before trump came along.

WASHINGTON -- Protesters registered their rage against the new president Friday in a chaotic confrontation with police who used pepper spray and stun grenades in a melee just blocks from Donald Trump’s inaugural parade route. Scores were arrested for trashing property and attacking officers.

    During the election...
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Spoiler... 2017 is in the last 8 years.

I hate to break it to you, but the orange man who has been stoking division and instigating violence since day 1 is bad for the country.

How do you think we got here?  Hilary was gaslighting and making up shit after losing in 2016?  Trump has stirred the pot since 2015 and now this is the result.

As I've said, no one expected violence around our elections (or inaugurations) before 8 years ago.

Turns out orange man actually IS bad. Who knew? (besides anyone paying a lick of attention)

I thought JoeBro asked some very specific questions of the alleged victim and the alleged victim gave very detailed responses to JoeBro’s questions? Is that a memory hole?

Sounds like a Rodger Dodger Stoned and Steve O operation.
It literally does. The spokesperson being quoted, though, is a prominent Democrat (Charlotte Clymer). So yeah you have a progressive org using Stone/Bannon-esque tactics.

I think we should stay the course because things are going very well

You mean like in 2017:  CBSNews 1/21/17

WASHINGTON -- Protesters registered their rage against the new president Friday in a chaotic confrontation with police who used pepper spray and stun grenades in a melee just blocks from Donald Trump’s inaugural parade route. Scores were arrested for trashing property and attacking officers.

    During the election...
Oh, you mean the two assassination attempts on Trump. Which by the way have been memory holed by the State Media.
What are you missing from the... state media... about it? Endlessly dwelling on some conspiracy theory or what?

Just some facts and curiosity. But that is not how State Media operates.

explanation was that they sent another text apologizing for the confusion but many had already blocked the source so they didn't receive it...

I'm not defending them necessarily. I'm just providing their response to counter the idea that the group did it intentionally.

Yeah they addressed this...they omitted "in 2022" in the text...should have read "our records show that you voted IN 2022"

Obviously the text included a link on where to vote so put out the fire that you set on yourself.
It's hard to trust that it's a simple mistake given all of the other issues this org has had previously, as the article lays out
so why would they include links to polling places for these people?
As someone who has worked for companies that do text marketing campaigns, we would typically see click-through rates in the single digits

I think they would get more grace if their history was more akin to someone like moveon.org vs. their actual history

That's assuming Twilio or SBT doesn't block you all together.

Did these messages go to only registered Republicans,  Democrats or both? It wouldn't make sense for a progressive group to suppress their own votes.  The recipients will tell you the intent
