As governor of Minnesota, one of Tim Walz's accomplishments was signing a 2023 education law that included a mandate for schools to provide free menstrual supplies to students in grades 4 through 12

Wow! Quite an accomplishment! Maybe Nobel Peace Prize worthy!

Add it to Kamala’s website immediately…

    Press release statement:
”Our VP nominee Tampon Tim has made women’s lives better by installing tampon machines in boys bathrooms all over Minnesota! Elect Kamala and you too could make women’s live better by having tampons available in boys restrooms NATIONWIDE!”

“The Minnesota law, however, doesn't specify in which bathrooms the menstrual supplies must be located; instead, it requires school districts to develop plans to ensure all students who menstruate can access free tampons and pads, Lacey Gero, director of government relations at the advocacy group Alliance for Period Supplies, told CBS MoneyWatch. Her group advocates for free tampons and pads in schools, prisons and other institutions and eliminating the so-called tampon tax.

While it's unclear how many transgender children could benefit from free menstrual supplies, the impact is mostly felt by the millions of girls who experience so-called "period poverty," or the inability to afford pads and tampons. About one in four teenagers who menstruate struggle to pay for period products, according to a 2023 study from the advocacy group Period.

"We're hearing from somebody who was a teacher, that [Walz] recognized that students need school-supplied period products, and this issue is something we hear about from students across the country today," Gero said. "My hope is that this being in the public eye brings attention to an issue that many people might not know about or may have never thought about."

Paul Manafort, the chairman of former president Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, has admitted sharing confidential campaign polling data with a suspected Russian intelligence officer at the same time Moscow was interfering in the 2016 election on Mr Trump’s behalf.

In an interview with Insider, Mr Manafort — who was later convicted of tax evasion but received a pardon from the ex-president — said he shared the data, which the Department of the Treasury described as “sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy”, with suspected Russian intelligence officer Konstantin Kilimnik in hopes of financial gain for himself, not to aid Russia’s efforts to help Mr Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.

This has happened before. If someone like trump proposes something that benefits lower income people you can bet the dems will support it.

I'm still not sure how these people will pay into social security but maybe they are just referring to income tax.

I go to basketball all games at Liacouris Center at Temple U all the time. It’s in the city. No place you would ever go. The arena fits 11,000. And it was clearly packed for the Harris Walz rally. The Vegas arena is the same thing.

    From Sweden's biggest newspaper:

"Tim Walz has something Trump is missing: Ancestors from (the village of) 'Runkarp'.

Donald Trump lied about being part Swedish. Kamala Harris Vice President candidate doesn't have to do that"

"In the US House of Representatives, he has opposed the use of tax money to buy out troubled financial companies. He advocates large government investments in roads, bridges and green energy and gets full pot for his policy from the national trade union federation AFL-CIO, "USA's version of Sweden's biggest union".

In other words; almost Swedish "Social democratic politics" That is, with the exception of the cannabis laws. And all of these are important issues for Democrats, especially those on the left."
