Anecdotal, but I’ve seen plenty of white people who can’t cut it at their jobs and I wish someone else had the role.

It’s incredible that 45-50% of American voters are still not accepting the idea of a woman president in 2024
Wrong, they are not accepting the choice of the dumb dumb the dummies annointed…
How eloquently put. You can't argue with a rational, well stated response like that.
That was the point, there is no argument.  God y’all r so easy…Kami loves you
I do not recall you ever making an attempt to participate in an actual discussion here. Sad.

I gave that up a long time ago, simply not worth it and angered people more …its so much more fun commenting on how y’all are so much better then anyone who doesn’t abide…
So it’s Worth the price of admission for the 5 shows (3GA ) attended this summer  w/ 4 more to go in NZ / AUS coming up next month.  Most from tenclub or hookups from TC for choice seats..
Hey, is that supposed 2 be me in that pick?  Talk about shaming!!! You guys are 2 much…oh the pictures one could share of your typical rotten brain, but that wouldn’t be tolerated in this echo chamber

The most angry people are MAGA people.  Just sayin' (but you know its true).

Biden yesterday: “We gotta lock him up..”

Now what party is it that jails the opposition? It is the Democrat party. The Dems put a guy in jail for a meme. Harris has no problem with that. America needs to see more of Harris.

Agree on that. In 2024 there is no reason that the results should not be quantified. Unless the hackers get in
There’s plenty of logistical and legal reasons as to why the count will take more than a few hours.

Maybe if trump wins, he'll put a team together to investigate the problems you're convinced we have with our elections. He could call it, I don't know, maybe a "Voting Integrity Commission", and they'll get to the bottom of all these shenanigans.

    Wouldn't that be nice?

Why do you care if Biden misspeaks? He's president right now. Has he changed laws or done this? Has he ever campaigned on locking up or prosecuting political opponents? Nope, and no one with a brain thinks he meant to jail Trump outside of due process for his already adjudicated crimes or those in process.

As usual, Biden can't misspeak, but Trump can intentionally threaten and engage in sowing doubt to the point of violence to get what he wants? Troll on you sycophant.

AZ on the other hand was plagued with problems in 2020 and 2022. Most Americans want vote tabulation to be trusted and fair. We don't have that now: ie PA, GA, MI, AZ.

The people creating the problem....are, shockingly, the ones exploiting it to create chaos and sow doubt about the results....which gives your boy an avenue to lie about the election being stolen from him again.

Pennsylvania is one of seven states that does not allow election workers to begin processing absentee or mail ballots until 7 a.m. Election Day. This means workers across the commonwealth must deal with these ballots at the same time the polls are open, functionally running two elections at once, which can cause delays in unofficial results being available.

You are not making any sense. You are specifically citing Florida here. Do you realize they count early ballots and vbm prior to election day? That is literally the reason why we know their results earlier than states like PA.

Some states have an advantage in reporting results.

One reason that Florida can report results on election night is because state law allows for both processing and counting to start before Election Day. Florida law allows county officials to begin tabulating mail ballots weeks before Election Day. In addition, Florida ends early in-person voting two or three days before Election Day, depending on the county, and does not allow mail ballots to be dropped off at voting precincts on Election Day (though voters can take ballots to their local elections office).

As a result, election workers in Florida get three additional days to process and count ballots – without having to process and count any additional in-person early ballots as in other states.

How Florida counts votes so fast compared to other states

Once considered a laughingstock, Florida has become a model example for holding elections
Fox 4 Investigates' Ryan Kruger looks into how and why Florida counts ballots faster than other states after the 2000 election.

Three days have passed since the polls closed, and the balance of power in the next Congress is still unknown.

While several states, including Arizona, Nevada and California, are still counting ballots, Florida mostly finished its voting on election night.

How did a state that was once considered a national laughingstock for its handling of the 2000 Presidential election between Al Gore and George W. Bush become a national example for efficient elections?

Florida Gulf Coast University Political Science Professor Dr. Peter Bergerson says state leaders made changes to how the state handles election season.

“They put in some additional guidelines, more money for better machines, more professionalized training,” Bergerson said.

That includes passing legislation that allows local counties to start counting mail-in ballots 22 days before election day.

State law also requires early voting ballots, in most instances, to be completely counted on the day before election day.

Results from early voting must also be posted within 30 minutes of the polls closing.

Voting by mail is possibly the largest difference between Florida and other states.

In Florida, a mail-in ballot has to be received by 7:00 p.m. on election day.

Meanwhile, Nevada law calls for the mail-in ballots to be postmarked by election day. Those ballots can be received up until the Saturday after election day.

“Different states have different rules for the hours of voting, for how they're tabulated, how the results are released. And so, it is really a broad mix of different types of elections and different states,” said Stephen Ohlemacher, the AP Election Decision Editor.

Emma Steiner, who studies disinformation for the voting advocacy group Common Cause, says while there is nothing nefarious going on with the vote counts in other states, as the count drags on, it gives bad actors ammo to pounce.

“We’ve seen and will continue to see bad actors and disinformation spreaders push the narrative that only election night results are valid and that counting ballots after election day is an indicator of widespread fraud,” said Steiner.

    ^Agreed!
    lol

    https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/10/22/florida-election-early-voting-vote-mail/75788137007/

When are early voting and vote-by-mail ballots counted in Florida?

Each state has its own laws on when ballots may be counted or even processed. Some states only allow ballots to be processed — checked for signature or other identifying information and compared to the voter's registration record — on Election Day, and that can back things up very quickly if there's a big turnout.

Once processed, votes can be counted, but that can't happen until the polls close in some states.

Florida law streamlines the process, allowing ballots to be processed as soon as they are received and counted as soon as the county has completed public testing of the automatic tabulating equipment, which starts at least 25 days before early voting begins. The results are kept secret and releasing them early is a felony.

Florida also usually cuts off its early voting two days before Election Day, which gives county officials more time to tabulate them. By default, early voting ends Saturday, Nov. 2, although each county may opt to extend it to Sunday and a few are. Early voting for Pinellas and Taylor counties has been extended to Election Day due to damage and obstacles from Hurricane Milton in an executive order issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis Thursday.

In August, Gov. Ron DeSantis bragged about how fast Florida reported its election results, saying "Florida elections have millions more votes cast than in PA elections, yet we count the votes and report the results on election night — and do so in an efficient and transparent manner.

"There is no reason why this cannot be done in every state in America," he said.

This is what happens when people just repeat things they hear on [insert the name of your favorite RW news outlet here].

Especially being from PA, it's frustrating whenever I see people talking about it, especially in the media--they hardly ever explain the reason why.

This is severe election disinformation spread by PhillyNJ - just wrong and purposely spread to sow confusion and mistrust. Pure fascism.
