I’d make a trip to the Sphere from the UK. Kind of regret not doing it for U2, but the lack of Larry Mullen was putting me off.0

Big miss for you. The band is second to the visuals at the Sphere, didn't really think it mattered he wasn't therematt84 said:I’d make a trip to the Sphere from the UK. Kind of regret not doing it for U2, but the lack of Larry Mullen was putting me off.0 -
Yeah... big miss... Larry wasn't missed.... band was fantastic without him... he's an average drummer. I saw 5 Sphere shows (the Lady GaGa show too) and each one was amazing...SandyRavage said:

That won't matter. Lots of us went to multiple U2 shows... and living in So Cal makes Sphere basically local! I'll do mid- week again...PJNB said:
Not going to get many travellers staying for multiple shows with that kind of tour. Especially if the sets are the same.YAKIMATSU said:15 shows over 5 weeks.0 -

I understand, but that's kinda how the sphere works. At least so far, it's having a residency of at least 5 weeks. I'm going either way.PJNB said:

I never looked at Dead and Company's tour to be honest. 3 in a row would be great. I thought it would be a couple of days off each show.YAKIMATSU said:

Dead & co. was originally doing 18 shows over 6 weeks. That is shorter than U2, but they have extended a couple more weeks now.PJNB said:

15 shows guess was actually my low number. Should get more. If, and that's a Facemeltor small if, it is the Sphere my real guess is 24 shows over 8 weeks. Would prefer the fall since summer fucking sucks in Vegas.Soldier Field 7-11-95, Alpine Valley 6-26-98, United Center 6-29-98, Riverport Amphitheater (St. Louis)7-2-98, MGM Grand Arena 10-22-00, Sprint Center (Kansas City)5-3-10, Adams Event Center (Missoula)9-30-12, Wrigley Field 7-19-13, Jobing.com Arena (Phoenix)11-19-13, Moda Center (Portland)11-29-13, Spokane Arena 11-30-13, Pepsi Center (Denver)10-22-14, Gila River Arena (Phoenix)5-9-22, Moody Center (Austin)9-18-23, Moody Center 9-19-23, Rogers Arena (Vancouver)5-4-24, Rogers Arena 5-6-24, MGM Grand 5-16-24, MGM Grand 5-18-24, Wrigley Field 8-29-24, Wrigley Field 8-31-24, Nashville 5-6-25, Nashville 5-8-250 -
If they do the sphere, it needs to be 15-20 shows IMO. Global demand is going to be insane.I think the screen this tour was a training run for the sphere by the way.Seattle 8-8-18

Imagine the variety. They could have generic visuals and play anything in the catalog. Obviously get Alive and probably EF and DTE, but everything else would be on the table every night. It would be a non-album tour. People will travel for the 3 show weekends from everywhere and the regular Vegas crowd will fill the Sphere. I would prefer a real tour, I think, but this seems easier for them.
The only REAL issue I see with a Sphere residency is Merch. How does that work? Would that be just the same for every show? I fuck hope not. We all appreciate OUR show merch specific items.Post edited by YAKIMATSU onSoldier Field 7-11-95, Alpine Valley 6-26-98, United Center 6-29-98, Riverport Amphitheater (St. Louis)7-2-98, MGM Grand Arena 10-22-00, Sprint Center (Kansas City)5-3-10, Adams Event Center (Missoula)9-30-12, Wrigley Field 7-19-13, Jobing.com Arena (Phoenix)11-19-13, Moda Center (Portland)11-29-13, Spokane Arena 11-30-13, Pepsi Center (Denver)10-22-14, Gila River Arena (Phoenix)5-9-22, Moody Center (Austin)9-18-23, Moody Center 9-19-23, Rogers Arena (Vancouver)5-4-24, Rogers Arena 5-6-24, MGM Grand 5-16-24, MGM Grand 5-18-24, Wrigley Field 8-29-24, Wrigley Field 8-31-24, Nashville 5-6-25, Nashville 5-8-250 -
