I didn’t catch it during the live performance but it was clear on the boot.

I’d make a trip to the Sphere from the UK. Kind of regret not doing it for U2, but the lack of Larry Mullen was putting me off.
Big miss for you. The band is second to the visuals at the Sphere, didn't really think it mattered he wasn't there
Yeah... big miss... Larry wasn't missed.... band was fantastic without him... he's an average drummer. I saw 5 Sphere shows (the Lady GaGa show too) and each one was amazing...

I never looked at Dead and Company's tour to be honest. 3 in a row would be great. I thought it would be a couple of days off each show.
Dead & co. was originally doing 18 shows over 6 weeks. That is shorter than U2, but they have extended a couple more weeks now. 15 shows guess was actually my low number. Should get more. If, and that's a Facemeltor small if, it is the Sphere my real guess is 24 shows over 8 weeks. Would prefer the fall since summer fucking sucks in Vegas.

Imagine the variety. They could have generic visuals and play anything in the catalog. Obviously get Alive and probably EF and DTE, but everything else would be on the table every night. It would be a non-album tour. People will travel for the 3 show weekends from everywhere and the regular Vegas crowd will fill the Sphere. I would prefer a real tour, I think, but this seems easier for them. The only REAL issue I see with a Sphere residency is Merch. How does that work? Would that be just the same for every show? I fuck hope not. We all appreciate OUR show merch specific items.

They wouldn't buy a giant new screen for this tour if they were going to go to the Sphere anytime soon. Please just do an east coast tour and call it a day
It isn’t a giant new screen though - what they have this tour is more like a projector and a sheet. A fancy one no doubt, but nothing like when you see bands playing with big LED screens behind them.

Given both brothers routinely play the same setlist for entire 2 year album cycles, at least they would only have to come up with one set of video content.

As far as the video feed vs visuals as the Sphere and not getting to see the band, the Sphere does both. I believe at some points, each member of U2/Phish/Dead&Co all had separate camera feeds that were being broadcast at the same time as the visuals.

I'd enjoy that. I saw U2 last October there and it was great. Vegas is, however, not cheap, and I remember thinking this might be my last time there. However, Pearl Jam or Oasis (reunion) would be the only two other bands that I might consider returning to see. Mind you, I'd be concerned about the Gallagher Bros getting into a fight and the whole thing getting called off!!!
