    Another important thing:

99.99% of people in team front offices don't know anything that isn't already public. The exception is what they know, but obviously can't tell random callers...just like anyone else with their job.

Even if you (the reader here) know something about your job, maybe you've been sworn to secrecy where you can't even tell your family until a certain date.

...I feel like we're about to reach the phase where fans call up ticket reps.
I’m not sure I understand your comment re: “venues don’t know anything the exception being what they do know” because holds for venues are made 6-9 months in advance and the venues sign NDAs.

The employees...the ticket representatives probably don't know anything.

If/when they do, they're not gonna tell the public. They *may* tell close confidants, but if I call up some FO somewhere and say that I heard a rumor about ______, they're just gonna point me to the website or Ticketmaster.

"Hey, FO representative. I heard you're real close to signing ______ to a new contract. Is this true?"

They're gonna have no comment other than "read the website" or "I've heard similar and I hope so." In other words, a hot bunch of nothing.

And yeah, the employees may occasionally get inside info about "this is about to be announced real soon" but they're not gonna tell anyone. I've known inside info for other things, but could only talk about it with other staff/insiders at those places.

Example: Years ago, I once heard inside info about a coach who was "going to be fired within 2-3 games." I couldn't tell anyone, but I had that hot tip.

In other words, calling up the Pistons/Cubs/Penguins/Saints/Texans FO and asking about "Pearl Jam on ______ 18th" they're gonna say "that's a new one."
No one has suggested asking employees at venues. You’ve entertained the notion only to state you’d get the silent treatment. Again I’ll state the venues on hold are aware who’s placed the holds at their venues and no they aren’t risking their NDAs to confirm if someone “phones to ask.” This entire scenario is something you’ve imagined up as some sort of quasi reaffirmation not to question your assumptions/guesses because, as you’ve linked to, you’ve made prior assumptions/guesses based on available datapoints at the time. May all your assumptions and guesses be true. Toronto is happening and that’s not an assumption or guess.
The only night in Toronto I definitely can't do is May 10th, so you guys might as well just assume that is the date and book your hotel rooms.

On the plus side, my niece's dance recital gonna be lit af.

They have played at least two past May 10th’s in Toronto.

The only front office you need to call in New Orleans is Derrek Carrs and ask him why he’s such a shitty quarterback

Hopefully it won't be like the last tour announcement when they had a similar note on like 4 months of emails prior.

Well actually they hadn’t. First membership reminder was in December 2023. Just days before the announcement for NOS Alive and Mad Cool.

So I‘d say the rumored NA dates in May (Toronto, Atlanta) can‘t be the reason for the reminder.

Is this for European shows after all? Lot‘s of European festivals announcing lineups and going on sale in the next few weeks.

EDIT: Did we ever have a reminder with no tour or festival announcement in the 4 weeks after? If no, what could it be this time?

Although being announced for a festival is pretty much confirmation of a tour which is good, I really hope it doesn't dictate the announcement time of the full tour.

I am glad I am strong enough with the force to make toronto materialize.

I prefer the weather in March or April, but May will work.

And you really pulled the wrong image of an underager drinking syrup... though I guess I understand why - nobody really wants to be reminded of this one:

I am manifesting a Massey Hall show... or 5

Massey Hall - no thanks.  If we want to be creative apart from Scotiabank Arena, the Budweiser Stage at Ontario Place is better imo.

I stand corrected. A reminder in the December newsletter and again in the January newsletter.

I think Massey Hall would be awesome, but I’m just hoping it’s not Rogers Centre or the new stadium.

I'm just trying to think when the last time we had such an announcement when there were shows yet to be played (ie: when pearljam.com/tour wasn't blank.)

    Exactly.

The Apollo was fun, but it was also eff-you-en trying to get tickets, wasn't it?

We're definitely in the silly season and that's perfectly ok. Somebody on Facebook asked about Mexico City.

Based on the Toronto stuff, I'm really thinking the Great Lakes rumors have legs. IDK if it's 10/10 gonna happen, but...unless South America comes out of nowhere, it seems Great Lakes is moreso gonna happen than South America...and it really seemed SA was gonna happen.

I just wanna know what the heck happened with Pittsburgh.
    2020 spring? Couldn't happen
    2020 fall? Didn't happen
    2022...clear the dates
2023...not in the tour geography. That was sort of a weird tour, wasn't it? It reminded me of Home/Away. To borrow from Metallica, "Sick Of The Studio" comes to mind.

    Pittsburgh? Maybe 2025. Or not.

    So January
No, almost every reminder was followed by an announcement in the 4 weeks after.

December > Mad Cool and NOS and later Bottlerock
    January > EXCEPTION
    Febuary > World Tour

The way I see it, as they put the reminder in the November newsletter, we should have shows announced until 9 December. At least a festival.

I wish this band was a "summer tour" band in the way of Dave Matthews. Choose a season a year and tour during it. It could be more or less shows each year depending on what they feel, but at least we'd be guaranteed to know they'd play at least a few shows a year.

On the other hand the next tour leg is managed by Live Nation from the very beginning for the first time. The usual people in the know might not be this time around.

If not for Europe, what is the membership reminder for? What could be announced in the next 4 weeks? There are no matching rumors. NA is too far ahead.

Live nation is Ticketmaster though? So surely the same as the 2024 tour? How do we know it’s going to be managed by LiveNation?

I agree with Paul, not looking too promising for Europe next year. Lots of the 2024 tour dates were circulating before this specific day last year.
