Yeah, I don't really understand how the cities are chosen tour by tour. It'd be interesting to be a "fly on the wall" as those decisions are made -- not just for Pearl Jam, but for other bands that tour on a regular basis too.
As far as the Sphere goes - no rumors, just information to digest:
1) Ed visited the sphere twice during the U2 residency.
2) At LV1, Ed polled the audience as to how many travelled to the show, and how many were locals. After the crowd responded, he looked toward somebody in the wings off to the side of the stage and said something to the effect of ’See, about 50-50. About half travelled for the show.’ Then he confirmed the band heard him by looking around the stage.
3) Later in the evening of LV1, Ed made a quick comment about being back next year.
4) The big screen behind the stage sure was Sphere-esque, the way they used it.

If it happens (Sphere), I’m leaning towards a short residency (4-10 shows) similar to Phish and The Dead, and not 50 shows like U2.

Stone said in one of the interviews recently he wouldn’t want to play there.
It’s now apparent Stone doesn’t dictate bookings.

I was thinking this too. And for someone who passed on the Dead at the Sphere for several reasons, I thought the big screen Saturday night was fantastic. I loved the slow moving waves, and the full video for DTE split across several sections had my head spinning (may have been the mushies, though).
I would also be in line to see them at the Sphere.

5) Those first few chords of U2's "Bad" before Corduroy seemed like a very subtle signal (I wish we got the whole thing, lol)
But yeah, this feels VERY probable to me. Both DM & Gigaton have videos ready to go, and they've been doing various things for other songs with the screen & lighting that feel almost like tests.
Wishlist is usually a breather for me, but N1 was one of the best (if not the best) I've seen. They had a whole mirrorball (another Uncle Neil clue??) effect that made it extra nice.
Far as I'm concerned, all we need is a timeframe.
p.s. (Hey, Facemeltor!🤘)

Shit just got real. I noticed everything in the original post as well, but a Facemeltor drop in speaks volumes. One year or two years away, but it's happening.

Does anyone know what Port Cities the Pearl Jam Cruise will be travelling to / from?
The answer is likely Alaska, as Pearl Jam hasn't played there yet. Oh I'm so excited, Alaska is beautiful! And can you imagine all the songs Pearl Jam can fit in to a 5 day cruise? So many gems, all the hits, can't wait!
