The Official 2025 Tour Rumor Thread

Would definitely go and one show maybe two depending on how the family/parenting negotiations lookSandyRavage said:I think your happiest medium is going to be the Sphere shows.
It's too late in PJ's career for them to be doing like Phish does and creating little "weeks" or "festivals" where ever they go. Ideally they could have started a Festival/Week in 95 or 96 when they were fighting Ticketmaster and the end of the Grateful Dead and rise of Dave Matthews and Phish, and they basically did, but PJ summer tour didn't quite stick like DMB and Phish.
The Sphere seems right up PJ's alley, considering bands OLDER than PJ have adapted to the technology quite quickly. I mean the freaking Eagles are next up...
As an Idea, it's amazing. And from a band that did something like PJ20 14 years ago now, it seems like they could be making a lot of the more recent shows extremely special and wanting them to do something that feels out of the ordinary now has felt like the norm for awhile now. Especially when this band has played 125 different songs this year, but still choose's to play repeats on multiple nights.
Honest question to everyone here, especially those who go to multiple shows a year:
If PJ plays the Sphere and you're guaranteed to hear:
-1 full album of songs, any album from Ten to Dark Matter, but only ONE album
-maybe 5 to 6 different/deep cut songs a night (this could be like how they go about the deep cuts now, or an "a" or "b" setlist)
-a mini set of songs they could rotate to close the shows (Given to Fly, DTE, Corduroy, Better Man, Just Breathe, all the hits etc etc)
how many shows would you try to go to?
Say they only announce 10 shows. If you KNOW they're going to play "Ten" every. single. night. Would you still buy tickets for multiple shows, or would you do it once or twice and move on? Would you attempt to make it to every single show?
at that point does the audio/visual element and rarity of the shows outweigh the element of suprise that is usually revealed with the Setlist?
PJ have been very conservative when it comes to destination events. They could have gone the route of those "en la Playa" getaway concerts that all the Jam and Jam-adjacent bands have been doing for years now, but instead they may or may not do Ohana and don't look at anything else. Ohana has become Ed's baby and people already complain about the prices of those tickets and how quickly it sellsGet_Right said:Some of us die hards have not lost sight of the popularity. If they did some kind of travel excursion like one big holiday, fans would be even more angry about the prices. A week at the gorge VIP 10K. Yeah no thanks.0 -

I'd still be there, provided it's not mid-July and 100*+0 -
Ok, I’ve been known to wishcast for an extremely unlikely Syracuse show so I get the impulse to imagine things. But man this feels misguided. First of all, isn’t this kind of insulting to the band? The “standard” tour isn’t good enough, you need it to be “legendary”? C’mon now. Also more songs don’t necessarily make a show legendary anyway. Do you believe there were no “legendary” shows in ‘93 when 25 songs was basically the entire repertoire? They shortened the shows for their health, specifically Matt & Ed’s, but they won’t mind as long as it’s legendary to you right? Should they let you write the setlist? And that should definitely help sell tix on the next “standard” tour when people know the shows will be different.MikeDigs said:
Not standard tour. Legendary shows.
They don’t need a destination weekend in Cabo, they just need to keep being the best live band in the world on their own terms.
and play fuckin’ Syracuse

I went to Syracuse for school. I am up there once a year or so. Where would they play? Not the Dome. State Fair maybe? Unfortunately, upstate NY does not make a lot of sense for them. The destinations for them are festivals. Big money and shorter sets.0 -
You do an east coast Ohana in the spring. Have it in Boston call it O'Hannagh. Just round up all the great openers over the years. Jacket, Band of Horses, SK, Ted Leo, Sparta, etc.0

Maybe because I've been to 6 shows this year, but I could deal with 'Ten' in it's entirety for a few shows.

I think i'll always be in the bracket of seeing this band will always be the highlight of my year. No other band comes close for me.
This years shows once again brought it home that they are absolutely on the top of their game still, and brought incredible energy to the shows that came right back at them from a crowd that is beyond passionate.
On that basis alone I will always try to do as many shows as i can.....so if they did a week in London (I know its never going to happen), I would do every one.
Couldnt care less what they played either, its always a total pleasure. We will always have those tunes we would love to catch, but they are merely a bonus, the cherry on top to a fantastic evening.

Sign me up for the Binaural and Riot Act shows!"I got memories, I got shit"0

In all seriousness, Has there been talk of a few shows in the US in 2025 or is all this wishful talk?0

This… other than too many Ed solo songs.pdalowsky said:I think i'll always be in the bracket of seeing this band will always be the highlight of my year. No other band comes close for me.

And 5 of them were probably Dark Matter songs on the Dark Matter tour. Honestly, wth is wrong in some of your skulls? How about 20+ repeats a nights a night, like pretty much every other band out there?🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️njhaley1 said:
Seattle was the same. Pretty disappointing.SandyRavage said:
But.... given the song selection they've been using on multiple nights, I really don't think "Pearl Jam WEEK" shows is really going to be a thing... When you have a weekend like Wrigley where songs get scratched off and then on N2 there are SEVEN replays from N1??? SEVEN? Whats the point of having a week of shows at the same venue if the variety isn't there?MikeDigs said:
Let's stop saying "we'll never get a legendary show, those are in the past", or "25 songs is the new standard".
If they do less locations they can do more songs!
More songs! Rare gems and deep cuts! Legendary location and crowd! Great vibes to celebrate our favorite legendary band.0 -
I don't see most bands more than once on a tour for that reason. Pearl Jam was always different and I would see them multiple times on a tour.Haijay said:

I actually skipped a concert for this reason. Was monitoring the setlist, and it was 100% copy paste every single night. That's a big no thank youpjl44 said:

The answer is already in your question. Pearl Jam has never been like any other band. That's why some people are understandably a little disappointed. Just let them have their feelings.Haijay said:

The Sphere is the only place I’d be generally ok with the setlists being the same every night.
Id be going to that for the experience of seeing PJ at the sphere and not for the surprise factor. If they did the weekend only format (Friday and Sunday) for let’s say 4-6 weeks, I’d probably just try and hit one weekend and call it good2010: Cleveland
