Seattle residency at Climate Pledge Arena would be perfect .. how relaxed would the band be, just jamming in their own city!
Yes holding out hope for something special in Seattle🤞
Whether it’s a one off show or something bigger I’d be thrilled either way.

The holds were in place for May. Nothing new beyond that at this stage.

This is going to be sad.  I'm not really comfortable heading south of the border while this is all going on, and if bands aren't comfortable coming north of the border, could by a dry spell.  I suppose that's the least of our problems in Canada now. sigh...

As a Canadian who lives in the US I'm super frustrated. I guess no Toronto trip this year if this continues.

Anything that crosses the border like merch will be subjected to tariffs.

I think there’s also going to be a lot of Canadians spending their travel dollars elsewhere.  I’m not cancelling any PJ trips but I am definitely reconsidering all other plans.  You gotta hand it to him, he is dividing more than just one country now.

That is not how it works. The tariffs are applied to goods being imported to the US by the manufacturers. It would not apply to tour merch coming back over from Canada after a concert. And Canada’s retaliatory tariffs wouldn’t apply either, those are only on some specific product groups.

It wouldn’t shock me to see travel restrictions enacted if this goes on for very long. He’s very stubborn and incredibly stupid.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    That would be most unfortunate.

They are, at present, only targeting specific things. And my guess is that Canada, Mexico, and the rest of the world will target companies controlled by Trump-aligned oligarchs, much as the US and EU have employed targeted sanctions against Russia and other countries in the past. That being said, the unpredictability that Trump has (quite needlessly and pointlessly imho) introduced into the global economy means there's no guarantee that merch won't be subject to high import duties by the time a hypothetical Canadian tour might commence. The wise business decision here, as it is now in many sectors, is to sit on your hands.

They could always get them silk screened in Canada to avoid importing them. The biggest hit will be the currency conversion. The looney will be taking a hit which ironically makes Canada goods cheaper thus dulling the effect of the tariffs. Also US goods are hit twice by the tariff and currency making then expensive to Canadians and likely to be substituted. Those idiots all flunked out of econ.
