Canada as its own lottery isn't unprecedented so doesn't really screw anything up if it's announced later. Granted this is unlikely but it's the holiday season so I've already talked myself into PJ and System as 2/3 of the BC headliners.
The QC promoters won’t allow 2 QC cities. Either Evenko runs the MTL show or TM runs the QC show.
They should add an Ottawa or Hamilton show similar to the Gigaton run.
Please not Hamilton. It’s the worst venue to get a drink and use the washroom. London would be a better venue.
(yes, I'm biased towards Hartford lol, and no I have nothing to base it on)
Or....a common just-outside-the-BC-radius stop....
Don't tempt ME with a good time, I fuckin' love Maine. Would love to get them in Portland (pretty sure Jeff would JUMP at this lol)
PJ Maine show please!
Which shows are you doing?

Is that a new thing or just specific to Pearl Jam? Muse just did two nights each in both QC Videotron and Montreal's Bell Centre last year.

Centre Bell is run by evenko and uses TM as ticketing support as TM owns 49%. However, when you go to a centre bell event you are directed to evenko’s site. When you buy Centre Bell tickets, it gets issued by Evenko using their service and letterhead.
It seems that PJ is playing at TM exclusive arenas as their 10c club tickets are run through TM.
Centre Videotron uses TM ticketing, when you purchase a ticket it’s TM who is the issuer and uses TM letterhead.
a lot of bands don’t have 10club lottery style ticketing and just provide presale codes that you enter online. So they choose to play both cities.

Fenway was mixed ticketing agencies. TM handled 10c and PJ Premium. Fenway (through the MLB) handled all the regular tickets. All the TM tickets had to be transferred over the week before to the MLB App because that was the system used at the gate.

Yes, they allowed that to happened because they wanted to play there and the promoter worked with them to achieve that. Maybe they don’t want to handle multiple ticketing systems in QC and just go with what’s already established.
Montreal and QC don’t really hold a special place for PJ as the baseball stadiums do. They probably just look at it in a way where it’s more convenient for them, satisfy the QC province and move on.
A lot of bands are skipping out on Montreal and favouring QC city.

It’s currently under renovations and it’s scheduled to reopen in the fall. They are adding a second level concourse.

You will notice that PJ plays older basketball arenas and arenas in big cities on off nights. Could be the $ to play QC is way cheaper than Bell Centre in Montreal because there isn't a whole lot happening in that arena in QC.
Just read about 10 pages and---correct me if I'm wrong--seems like there's currently no buzz since the Miami to Pittsburgh run...?
Canadian cities had holds, but got no shows? Soldier Field daydreams? And...nothing else on the radar as of today?

People seem confident that a Jazz Fest set will be announced and the Soldier Field thing could be more than a daydream depending on how you feel about the OP in that thread. That's about it though.
Funny how many people mocked when Madonna and Missy Eliot were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but no one complains about Pearl Jam playing Jazz Fest.

I think it's officially called the Jazz & Heritage festival, which is pretty nebulous.

Remember in 2010 at the Jazz fest Eddie said "let's play some jazz" then playing Lukin? 🤣

I’m sure plenty of jazz fans ‘mock’ PJ playing it. Diversify or die (or accept making less $) in both cases.
Jazz Fest consistently features non jazz acts: The Rolling Stones, Snoop Dog, RHCP, The Who, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty, Gov't Mule, DMB, Neil Young, Mystikal, The Meters, Jimmy Buffett... etc.
Jazz fans know what to expect. I doubt anyone is mocking the lineup for that reason.

I've always wanted to see Jazz Fest fully throw caution to the wind and book Johnny Hates Jazz. But all they keep giving me are shattered dreams, shattered dreams...
