Surprised I only heard this song twice over six shows.  My second favorite on the album only behind Stevie (which I got three times!).

I was so sad this was cut as the Baltimore closer..that would have been the best end for my tour shows
I was hoping for it there, too, and was wearing your Setting Sun bracelet from Vegas (I love it). That should have done it!
The second half of it was my favorite part of the whole album from day one.
I've gotten it several times, but if they play it both nights at Ohana, that would be more than fine with me!

To me it sounds like the band and Ed struggled throughout some parts of the song.  I've accepted I'll never get it live (preventing me from completing DM) but fortunately it's my least favorite on the album (still like it though!).

This is going to sound ridiculous but Setting Sun has become one of my 10-15 favorite PJ songs of all time and it’s 50% of the reason I’ve decided to go to Ohana last minute. Got it at all 3 shows in May and it was amazing all 3 times. Got it twice out of 6 shows on the fall leg, none the last 4 shows I did. Craving it along with Got To Give. I thought GTG sounded great on the Van 2 bootleg. Eddie crushed that high note but definitely a few little mishaps on the outro….but can’t tell me they can’t figure it out they fucking wrote it lol

It's not ridiculous for members of the Pearl Jam fan club to love Pearl Jam. It's a great song off a great album. Why shouldn't it be one of your favorites?

I think i will appreciate this one when it's a 1 in 5 show closer type song to end the gig. It sounds great but if it's not last it's a weird placement in the middle of the encore. In fact it's a downright buzz kill in the middle of the encore.

Today was my first date with my ex. 5 years ago. I wish I could stop thinking about her, wish I wasn't so sad still. It sucks. Nothing I can do about it. I accepted the fact that she wasn't coming back a couple of years ago, but it still sucks.

This song is NOT helping lolol, but I can't stop listening to it.

yeah GTG isn't getting played but it isn't because it's "hard to play" or sing, etc. A god damn mystery.

    Pleasant surprise:

Went to my local Starbucks after seeing "Joker: Folie à Deux" (which was EXCELLENT BTW, another pleasant surprise) and "Setting Sun" was playing in the store.

I was shocked lol. Thought maybe my phone was hooked up to the store's Bluetooth somehow.

I'm friendly with all of the baristas there, so I asked them who was controlling the music. They said it's a playlist that Starbucks generates.

I then proceeded to tell all of them (late-20s at the most) to listen to the song later when it wasn't so busy, and that even though it was mind-numbingly sad it was also maybe my favorite/Pearl Jam's best song. They all laughed lol.

Love the close ups of Stone's guitar work. We don't get enough of that. No wonder the second half of this song (my favorite part of the whole album from day one) just sounds like pure classic PJ.
Each member of PJ, when featured, is the best member of the band at that moment. Each is SO integral to the whole. Just love these guys so much!
